  1. wheels off, arch liners off, rest is then really easy.
  2. VW have done this many times before, here's two I can think off the top of my head: MK 2 Golf gti 16v - 1.8 137bhp - Passat Gti 16v 2.0 150bhp Golf R32 - 3.2ltr 250bhp - Passat R36 3.6ltr 300bhp Sometimes each model goes in it's own development direction and overlap is the outcome....
  3. Without major metal work, I'd say these just won't fit especially given the height you're running at. I had 8.5x18 et30 LM's in 5x112 (so no adaptors required) and these had no chance of fitting on my mk5 R32 (std offset et50), the front was the issue even with rolled and pulled arches, the offset is way too low to be workable as an everyday wheel. This was with 215/40 tyres too for some extra clearance. With the adaptors dropping the offset to 15, I'd say it's even harder. But nothing is impossible with enough time and money. Personally I'd sell them and get some more fitment friendly ones, you could even go for E series motorsport ones, they look even better than LM's!
  4. Had my 2015 vrs tdi for about 6 months now, really enjoying it. Although my first skoda, it's about my 7th VW group car. It would be unfair to compare to my last car, that being a supercharged mK5 R32..... Good points - equipment (esp as it came with MIBII and Amundsen nav (a major step up from the RNS510 in the golf) space all round decent manual gearbox (although missing dsg) ideal for schlepping up and down the motorway every day Bad points Road / wind noise Standard fit bridgestone s001's (god I miss my Michelin super sports) Traction (See above) Have to say that the fit and finish is no better than the mk5 golf, think VW peaked with the mk4 and b5 passat for interior quality. I'd agree that the mk7 golf is a standard higher in both trim level and noise control, but that's part of the heirachy (skoda level with seat < vw < audi) May go with the 4x4 when this one's lease is up unless there's a 4x4 petrol in which case I'd snap it up.
  5. When I picked my vrs up from Simpsons, the advisor said the same thing. He said it's always at the same price as the current lease contract so why bother if you can get a brand new one for the same money....
