  1. Fixed! I pulled the wires and connectors out you recommended and give them a clean (there was a bit of corrosion). I also changed the fuse again (even though I’ve already changed it) just to be sure & it’s back working! Not sure if it was the wires or the fuse I put in before that was the issue but anyway, it’s working again. Thank you for your help!!
  2. I’ve already changed the fuse and that didn’t change anything. I’ll check out the other wires you mentioned & hopefully that will help!
  3. It doesn’t work at all. Non of the speeds work now. It worked fine before but it just suddenly stopped. As far as I know it’s never packed in before in the cars entire life (it’s been in my family since ‘97)
  4. Hi folks, the heater blower in my 1.6 Felicia has stopped working. Having read other forum posts, I think it’s either the motor or the resistor that has a fault. However, what I can’t find out is where to access these parts in the car so I can fix them, in particular the resistor. Does anyone have any guides or photos from when you may have fixed the same fault? many thanks.
  5. Hi folks, Hope I have the correct forum for this... Anyway, I recently inherited a chrome arrow shaped badge piece from a Skoda 1000MB. Whilst at Skodafest this year 2 separate people told me it was worth around £50-£100, yet someone else told me it was worth no more that £30. I dont have a picture, but this is the closest one I could find online, it isnt the fuel cap one, its the one for the opposite side & has the same red Skoda emblem that I have. I'd just like to get a realistic price so I know how much I can sell it for in the future. https://media.skoda-auto.com/Pictures/History/SKODA_1000MBX/_w/%C5%A0KODA%201000%20MBX%20(8)_jpg.jpg Thanks
  6. Many thanks for the help! (Sorry for the late reply too, completely forgot to reply!) Anyway, i'm going to nip down to the scrappy tomorrow, there are normally no felicias in but there are plenty of Polos of the same age. My Grandpa noticed it was coming from the breather, as you mentioned, so I'll go get the part and fix it. Thanks again for the help!!
  7. Hi, I have a 96' L&K 1.6 Felicia and when I moved it from the driveway at home onto the road I noticed some oil on the driveway, I inspected the problem and I can see the start of the leak is where the air intake pipe goes into the engine manifold. Any ideas why it is doing this & what I can do to fix it? Thanks
  8. Hi! Thanks for the replies guys, i've recently had a change in jobs so i'm now no longer got the time that I hoped I would to do something like this :( But I would like to do it at some point in the future!
  9. Hi folks, My now 20 year old felicia has no power steering with it and i have been mulling over the idea of fitting it with a power steering system to it. It almost had one fitted about 10 years ago when its previous owner (my grandparents!) tried, but ultimately left if due to being unable to source the part. However, after coming across a copy of the skoda owners magazine ive seen an ad for sourcing old skoda parts so im sure im able to source the part now. So my question is: has anyone on here ever attempted to fit a power steering system? (my car is the 96' 1.6 L&K estate version). If so how hard is it to do? What is the best way i approach doing it, or just general advise really. Thanks
  10. Hi, I've been thinking for a while of buying an old favorit and doing it up so I can show it off, take it to a few rallies, but I don't intend on keeping it for a long time due to lack of room at home. I just enjoy repairing and bringing cars back to life. Ive found one that I like and it needs a bit of work but when I do come round to selling it what sort of market is there now for favorits? What sort of price range for a fully working, pristine condition favorit? The model I am intending to repair is a 1994 LXIe flairline model. I have seen one for Sale on eBay for over £2000, would people on here say this is a silly price to value at or is that about right? (this isn't the one I was looking to buy btw, this one was in full working pristine condition). Thanks
  11. Ok thanks for the help folks, I've explored all these options to the best I can and followed what you've all said and I've had no problems since and the car has been running fine. cheers
  12. Hello there! Had a few troubles with my 96' Felicia this evening, went to the footy & came back and turned the car engine on and I noticed it sounded odd, the engine wasn't ticking over smoothly and the acceleration would dip before it went up. I turned the engine off & on again and it seemed to solve the problem... or so I thought. Just a few miles up the road I was approaching a mini round about and as I was slowing down the car stalled, now normally when I have experienced a car stalling it jumps or judders, but this time the engine just cut out. I'm quite worried about it. I hope this makes sense and you may know why its doing this. Happy to answer any questions you may have too. -Matt
  13. Hi, Hope these images help, 65mm x 24mm are the dimensions of the remote as pictured above. These are original to the vehicle, as I mentioned above in the cars manual it says they are from a VW Logic 600. The squeal sounds like when a bicycles brakes squeak that's probably the best way I can describe it and it does it in the circumstances I mentioned in the previous post, I have been told by my grandparents who gave me the vehicle that it did it from new (1996) & they also mentioned the there were some defects on the clutches on vehicles of that age from the change over from asbestos use in them to the materials they use now. I also know from my friends dads golf which is the same age & that does the same noise. So when you mentioned clutch defect I believe it may be this, but i'll explore the other options too. (Best to be safe than sorry!) As for a change on the clutch, I do not know when it was last changed (if ever). Thanks again!
  14. Hi there, I'm Matt I've just inherited my grandparents 1.6 Laurin & Klement Felicia estate, its my first car (although I have been driving my parents Kia cee'd since I passed my test two years ago). I'm new to this, so thought id say hello! Any other Felicia L&K owners around? Cheers!
