  1. I know it's sold just want to ask a question; do these produce any sound ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Hmm could be mate, I'll have to have a proper inspection, hard to tell where its coming from bloody annoying though
  3. I've got a rubbery squeaking sound from what sounds like its coming from the engine bay or drivers side somewhere i can hear it through the bulkhead in the car It happens when turning at low speeds or manoeuvring into parking spaces etc. It's not detrimental to the steering or anything. It sounds like rubber on rubber squeaking Anybody have any ideas? Bit of grease or wd40 needed somewhere?
  4. Fixed... Got shark to map their stage 1 and its now driving perfect.. Was a bad map overfuelling and overboosting
  5. Think I will try cleaning the throttle intake as well. Seems people have had good results from what I've read
  6. Yeah I agree with you on that one. Going to put some new plugs in this week and try get hold of another n75 too. Probably go ahead and swap the temp sensor while I'm at it. I'm unsure whether it's related but it makes loud dumping sound when I let off the revs, it doesn't do it randomly but not sure whether it should be audible seeing as I'm running standard dv and airbox. Cheers mate
  7. I will take the wing mirrors mate what's your PayPal?? Is it £50 posted? Cheers
  8. Hi thanks for the response. My remap was done by a local independent remapper who sent my file to a reputable company to modify the file, he tried 3 different custom maps on the car while he was doing it as I got the issues straight after the Remap. I settled with the third map as while test driving the engine management light flashed as I mentioned and i realised it was more likely a fault with my coils or plugs. I regapped them and replaced the coil on cylinder 4 and the problem seemed to disappear. It has returned but not as bad as it was initially. It feels like its overboosting at say 2000rpm and unless I fully press the pedal it can be a little jerky at say partial throttle. Other than that it feels fine the power gain is definitely noticeable. From what I've been reading on the forums it sounds like it could either be DV related, n75 related or n249 related. I've also read coolant temp sensor causing similar issues and a gunked intake manifold. As you say I'm not ruling out the Remap as the cause yet. I didn't have problems on the standard map but I believe due to the extra boost which is upsetting a few things. I really want to keep it remapped and not revert back to standard if I can help it
  9. Hi folks, first post on the forum so hi to everybody. I'm after a little help before I start replacing stuff Willy nilly. Basically my vrs doesn't like anything other than full throttle since I had it remapped. It all started when my engine management light came on flashing while giving it some welly in 4th gear. I had the codes read and had permanent misfire on cylinder 4. So I replaced the coil and while I was at it inspected my plugs which will need replacing soon, however they were gapped well over 1mm so I adjusted to 0.7 as specified for remapped vrs Octavias, once I'd done this the car drove really nice the jerkiness at quarter throttle disappeared. I came to drive it today and it had returned but not as bad. It seems fine under full throttle but just cruising around feels like it wants to go all the time, almost feels like it wants to boost while driving under normal conditions. Since the Remap my turbo has started fluttering a little sometimes when I ease off the pedal whilst driving normally. My question is has anyone else experienced anything similar? And could it be a faulty n75 valve or dv? Should my turbo be fluttering? Or could it be something as simple as my plugs need replacing? I did see a few posts with very similar symptoms and I believe it ended up being a small split in one of the connecting pipes to the n75, I've inspected mine today and cannot find any obvious splits or cracks. Help would be much appreciated
