  1. I would say that car 'bites' as long as You are pulled to back od the seat, means You got acceleration, right? I am no racer, but on vRS it stops brutally after ~3.000rpm, so it's a good time to shift or You will loose that momentum in next gear. Diesels are always ''driven by torque" and they got them plenty in low rev's, quite opposite as the petrol engines which will most likely hesistate or even stall if You hit them hard at only 1.500rpm. But that rev range is usually a starting point for turbo spinup and where the fun starts on diesel. No offence, but I need no formula or torque chart for that :-) Just a few miles of normal drive and I simply know what engine can do. Poslano sa mog Mi-4c koristeći Tapatalk
  2. Sorry, cant get it then. But if it's not about version, it has to be something about how Škoda reads the Phonebook, or what a certain phone allows via Bluetooth. That Bluetooth Phonebook does it on every phone. I sent a bug to miui developers, so we will see if/what they can do about it... Poslano sa mog Mi-4c koristeći Tapatalk
  3. IMHO no, i tried several phones and I think there is a problem with Android 5.1.1 and Contact photos Poslano sa mog Mi-4c koristeći Tapatalk
  4. Yeah, but what it was all about in background?Poslano sa mog Mi-4c koristeći Tapatalk
  5. WT%? Mine says no recall-actions for my VIN. It was part of campaign the other day... Poslano sa mog Mi-4c koristeći Tapatalk
  6. From my point of view: vRS is not a racing car, and we should not treat it like that. Stay in VAG and take a look under hoods od Audi S4 or Seat Cupra's for example and youll se the difference. No matter that I own one, neither TDI nor TSI are ment for a childish traffic light racing. If You ever drove a decent sport car (not supersport, but neither tuned Corsa) You know what I mean. Even some decent Audi quattro or 4x4 184hp non-vRS Octavia will make You eat it's dust off the line. Simple physics. With some insult we could call it a trim level like s line exterior/interior package in Audi. TSI make it's way out of crowd with stronger engine, but 184ps TDI engine is offered in complete range. Again I own one, but with TDI You could gather more from 184ps scout. They knew that and leveled it by issuing a latest 4x4 vRS. But in all that **** I thrown out :-), You must reconsider that Octavia is universal all rounder, offering something that other proper R cars can't. That's the keypoint for lots of us. That's why I bought it, to drive my kids with 60mpg, and after that to beat the hell of it from time to time on some curvy road when I can't ride my bike. Therefore I wont take any offence if someone calls it a trim level, to be honest. For me, it is what it is. Sorry for poluting a topic. Poslano sa mog Mi-4c koristeći Tapatalk
  7. To add: On rainy days I can blast it instead of motorcycle and enjoy the road. Half an hour later I can drive my two Gremlin's with all equipment to hills or a shore... All that in same car... Poslano sa mog Mi-4c koristeći Tapatalk
  8. I owned only Audi's up to August. Bought a new VRS instead of new A4 in basic equipment (social as we call it in slang). No regrets. I red a lots of things back theb, but none of them is bad as it was written. There are little compromises You must make if You come from premium, but much less than price difference. One of the key things that made me buy it was the space between front and back seats for my two Gremlin's. First comments were: "Daddy we can play football back here". What I also like is a 'retro dashboard design', more like Audi A4 B7, not the new 'curved' ones with controls below gearshift. It's up to personal taste, but I like it like on B7 and in current Octavia. Design. I would never buy Škoda, but in third generation outline of the car design is very VAG-ish compared to previous generation, and it could last a while. I mean, a decade old Audi still jumps out of the mainstream design or ultra modern-two-years-lasting car design (French cars, Hyundai, Kia etc). Some cars impress in begining, but become ugly or common with time. VRS in third generation has a potential to have a long lasting good look and appearance in my opinion. 9. I was driving Audi's V6 TDI before vRS, and I must say that I'm not impressed by a 0-1500rpm hesistation or no power/torque. Up to 1500, nothing, nada, zero. And I still must learn that with time, as I find myself hitting the pedal and looking at dash like WTF? :-) Poslano sa mog Mi-4c koristeći Tapatalk
  10. Affected, MY16, manufacture date end of August. No details about the recall-actions reason still... Poslano sa mog Mi-4c koristeći Tapatalk
  11. Reply to myself :-) : Lookin good, much more than expected. Compared to 18" black Gemini's, a nice refreshed winter look. Caliper clearance is more than enough, no problem with fitment. I just cant find a decent centre wheel caps that fit, so will stock to Audi's this winter :-) May be useful for someone as I saw them on eBay occasionaly with a very good price. 12. Okay, I tested what this car can do for Greenpeace, and I got like 61mpg (4.6l/100km) on local roadtrip. But c'mon Guys, it's more like driving a lorry, really. It hurts both me and the car following the green score sh#t and driving in very low rpm... [emoji22] What I noticed in switching to mpg on head unit is that I was expressing myself here in US instead of UK mpg so there is unreasonable difference in calculation. So in average I have 41.5mpg (6.8l/100km). Therefore, hitting 40's is no problem with ocassional abuse. Poslano sa mog Mi-4c koristeći Tapatalk
  13. Just fitted them on monday. Nokian's D3 225/45/17 Rims are obviously Audi's leftover (previous car), 4F0 601 025 AF Z17: 7,5 x 17 ET45 BTW I cant see any crucial difference comparing to Gemini 18", except colour. They even look nicer than I thought they will [emoji12] Poslano sa mog Mi-4c koristeći Tapatalk
  14. Why are You guys so surprised? This is not my first new car, I drove a respectable fleets od cars. vRS TDI is not fuel saver (fullstop) Calm drive back from seaside, 250miles, average speed almost 62mph. On 140km/h You just cant be lower than 6.2 or 6.3 l/100km (87mph at shy 38mpg). And Yes You can make it 55mpg but only under 110km/h (70mph) on Swiss or UK highway on straight line in 6th gear beeing careful with Your foot. Tested and prooved. Beside the law, I don't call that a drive, especially for the vRS. I would like to see Your numbers while driving on continent. Just did it manually. 0.2 l/100km difference, closer to 1mpg difference. I didnt want to state that before checking, but ACC is doing his job quite well.Eitherway, I find it on TDI's much more efficient to blast it to desired speed (almost pedal to the metal) and then keep that speed with sensitive corrections. If You have room for that of course, try it. 87mph compared to 70mph is like 38mpg vs 55mpg. I'm not surprised, as I drove close to 95mph in Germany and it was something like low 30's... The consumption is jumping exponentially with speed. Poslano sa mog Mi-4c koristeći Tapatalk
