  1. If you have access to the Skoda service app you can enter your VIN and see the date of production and date of first registration. It also records your service visits and accesses the handbooks. Very useful. Matt
  2. Was it raining? Mine unlocks and locks itself if I clean the car with the key in my pocket, have to go hide them once it's unlocked.
  3. I have this on my car too, driver door is noticeably sticking due to the strip. Is there a way of obtaining Škoda's reference for these problems (chrome strip, widescreen washer, etc.) to make it easier to highlight the issues when we raise them?
  4. I found that fitting mud flaps made a huge difference to the amount of grime that gets stuck in the sills.
  5. I get this with podcasts (via SD card), never noticed it on the second SD card I use for music though. Might swap them over to see if it changes anything.
  6. Awww that's crap guys. Especially doing it the Friday before a bank holiday and so close to your "due" dates. Skoda are really doing an excellent job ingratiating themselves on the customer service front. Hope you all get something sorted soon before it sours further.
  7. I use Waze on my phone and only rely on the built-in system when I have no signal. The experience should improve when it eventually joins Android Auto, but I'm not sure if Apple will incorporate it into their car play.
  8. We're getting nearer to waze becoming a reality: http://www.usatoday.com/story/tech/news/2016/05/18/waze-comes-android-auto-one-many-new-features/84459926/?utm_source=feedblitz&utm_medium=FeedBlitzRss&utm_campaign=usatoday-techtopstories
  9. We use the maxi cosi 2 way fix base as it seemed to offer the best value/longevity (age range 0-4 years) and is compliant with new regulations. http://www.maxi-cosi.co.uk/gb-en/car-seats/2wayfix.aspx Makes for a very easy life when installing my beloved sleep thief. Matt
  10. Yes, mine's the same. I thought they'd got some polish stuck in the washer at first. Matt
  11. Do you have the time source set to GPS? If you press MENU > click on the cogs > time & date > clock time source > GPS. I discovered the option after adjusting daylight saving time in October. That should give all the information it needs. Not driven abroad to see if it works though! Matt
  12. Here's a picture of my L&K combi with DCC, not sure if you can tell is lower. We bought the car to fit all of the baby stuff in. If you can stretch to the virtual pedal for the boot, I'd certainly recommend it.https://flic.kr/p/AvjJc9
  13. I really like 476s. I put 2-3 coats every six months or so on my previous car and it lasts ages (I think it was originally meant for yachts!). Not had the weather coincide with any days off for me to get a layer on the new one yet...
  14. Manual says to hold the back of the key fob next to the start/stop button, so may be RFID.
  15. I booked mine in for the recall (after receiving a letter) and was told there are two campaigns outstanding. Does anyone know what the other (non fuse box) campaign is? Apparently it will take around an hour.
  16. I ordered mine through Wings and they were great. Kept me updated throughout the whole process.
  17. Just got my email from Skoda to say entering the factory in the next couple of weeks. One thing I noticed is it says "we'll be spraying it in your chosen Metal Grey Metallic", I assume this is what they call Quartz Grey Metallic as that is what I have ordered. Any of you guys who have Quartz Grey is this what your email said? This what my email said when I got my quartz grey superb. Sadly I'd ordered petrol blue. Reached a compromise with the dealer and am actually very happy with the grey.
  18. Nope, I got the full set for Christmas via SuperŠkoda and I've never noticed a rubbery smell thankfully.
  19. I wish they'd hurry up and get waze on Android auto, it is certainly the best at skirting around problems and general routing. I have my phone laying across the central cup holders, not very easy to see though.
  20. Thankfully the steering wheel is black. I was unsure about the brown leather but now really like it.
  21. In a L&K 220 DSG I did a run from Peterborough to St Albans yesterday afternoon (pretty much all motorway). Average speed 55 mph and achieved 39.9 mpg. That was with two adults and a baby (plus all the paraphernalia associated with a baby), both heated front seats on and air conditioning. I did not use ACC at all as I think that's been knocking my fuel efficiency. That's the best I've managed (at ~2,500 miles).
  22. I've been looking for one too, but super Skoda only sell the saloon one (http://www.superskoda.com/Skoda/SUPERB-III/Superb-III-limousine-original-Skoda-DOUBLE-SIDED-cargo-boot-mat) or a flip fold one for the estate/combi (http://www.superskoda.com/Skoda/SUPERB-III/Superb-III-Combi-flip-folding-boot-mat-textile-rubber-original-Skoda-Autoas) but I'm not sure if it's so good/hard wearing. Need it to protect against muddy pushchair being loaded in. Matt
