  1. Looks great! Loving the matching setup! Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  2. Just for a change- wsnt a huge fan of the other caps but didnt want them to get painted with the wheels either... may change back at some point if i feel like it
  3. Depends on how hipster you are. The small cup holder also takes a take-away espresso sized cup (macchiato, picolo latte etc). The door cup holders are also very good. I have used them for takeaway coffee cups without issue (I spend a lot of time on the road, hence all the coffee-related size comparisons)
  4. Just a note - if you're after that extra couple of mm of load height and length, you can actually remove the seat cushion all together pretty easily by undoing the metal clip. Helped me out with a couple of long boxes.
  5. Quick update. Got my Clubber rims painted gloss black and got my mirror caps and grille wrapped to match - with just a hint of colour to go with it :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. If you are facing up an incline when you come to a stop, the brakes will engage to prevent rollback. If you take your foot off the brake, hill hold will hold the car for a few sessions before crawling like a regular auto. It can be a little jerky if you don't realise what is happening and just mash the accelerator pedal - same as city stop. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I'm inclined to agree with you there - although to be fair it IS a cheap car so i guess they had to save money somewhere. That being said, my parents' Polo, which should be the "premium" offering over the Skoda, doesnt have the colour display. Can't say it has really bothered me.
  8. Update - spoke to a local roof rack company and gave them the car for a day for test fits in return for a set of racks. I think it turned out pretty well :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Yeah noticed that about the variable floor when I saw the mounting point. We don't get it in Aus though. Rubber lining was a ripoff here - AUD180 - so I bought some rubber matting from the hardware store and trimmed it to fit including a notch for the under floor/spare wheel Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. That's what I'm led to believe but I haven't seen any tunes actually come out yet - I guess we will have to wait and see Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. More along the lines of how much the warranty would be affected vs the actual power gain. Ie if the car is making more power but is still within engineering limits, would the gearbox still be covered. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Picked up the car and dealer handover was great. Went through all the features, set up my phone and ditched the dealer sticker for me ;-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. ABT have a secondary ECU tune they tell me will work on the new 1.2 TSI. Quoting 100kw and 225nm. Price is a bit high though. I'm also told APR will be out with a tune by December with similar figures. Still tossing up over whether to do it or not - don't want to lose my warranty unnecessarily Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Absolutely loving my 110 TSI. The engine is smooth and torquey - runs out of puff a little at the top end but but overall a really sweet engine for mine. It's a little louder than my dads polo due to less sound deadening which means I get a little turbo whistle through sometimes which is nice. Overall I think it's a great match for the 7speed dsg - especially in the twisties. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Finally took delivery - 110TSI Wagon in Moon White w/ DSG, Pano roof and Premium Sports Pack, which in Aus includes (as per the website):- Clubber alloy wheels 7J x 17" LED daytime running lights with projector headlight Front fog lights Fatigue Detection Sports suspension (lowered 15mm) Light Assist (automatic light switching, Coming Home, Leaving Home) Rain Sensor Privacy Glass (SunSet) 3-spoke flat-bottom sports steering wheel Advanced keyless entry including smart start (KESSY) and alarm Climatronic air conditioning with humidity sensor DAB+ (Digital Audio Broadcasting)
  16. Took some more pics Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Mines not a Monte - Australia only get the Ambition spec, with option packs to add to it. I don't have the paddles, but my experience with paddles before has been pretty meh and I usually go for the gear stick anyway. I've actually found that pulling back on the stick to go into sport mode is a good way to get a quick downshift to pass or similar then tugging it again to go back to drive. I use that more than manual mode at the moment. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. My baby finally arrived today. 110tsi DSG - took her out for a spin to enjoy Sydney's great weather and sights. More pics tomorrow hopefully Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. May have to retract my previous statement - was due to pick up my car tomorrow - called today to confirm what time to turn up only to be told that the dealer hadn't received it yet and to call back next week - thanks for the heads up, guys! Really itching to get this car now...
  20. Not a fan of the way it effectively kills both cupholders. Im hoping that with Carplay showing everything I want, there wont be a need to mount the phone anywhere. I've found the tray under handbrake works perfectly in my dad's Polo - hoping for the same here
  21. Dust - the reason I will not buy a black car. Also, funnily enough, the reason I will be painting my wheels matte black
  22. I had this discussion with my dad, who drives an X1 with a panoramic sunroof. He reckons beyond the initial gimmick of the sunroof, he doesn't open it anymore, but loves having the blinds open to let the light in, so I'm hoping I won't miss it when I get mine with the glass roof. 23. Here is the one I bought. Also fits the old mans Polo key Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Assuming my fellow Aussie's humour has not been lost on the rest of the crowd, I'll clear up some of the confusion. All Australian-spec Fabias are the Ambition model, with additional pre-selected option packs (Travel Pack, Sports Pack, Premium Sports etc). Given it is a manual, it will be the 66TSI (or 90PS) model as the 81TSI (110PS) only comes with the DSG. This is the tyranny of distance and a 6 week boat trip over. Also, for the benefit of the rest of forum, we only got the Mk2 Fabia before this one - and it was never referred to as such. I only realised there was one before that when I came onto these forums as well. As for the general car buying experience here, can't give too much comment as I usually know more than the rep when I rock up. Once they have your money, they don't really care anymore - especially VAG dealers unfortunately. That being said, my Skoda has been great so no complaints so far.
