  1. I'm using Rainsport 3's on my fabia hatch. I have a very spirited driving style and do a lot of town miles but I get 15k from the fronts and if you rotate them I get more like 20 from a set. 57 quid a pop from tyreleader, can't fault them one bit. Excellent grip and feel In all weather, makes the road feel dry when driving in the wet. I much prefer them to the conti's I had on before.
  2. Primarily it's a visual thing but I would imagine it should provide some increase in brake performance on standard discs w/greenstuff pads. If it was an extra then it should be an easier/cheaper job to swap the hubs than the whole axle? I never knew it was an option, shame whoever bought mine never had it fitted. That said, if its gonna be that expensive I might just stick with my plan to stick tarox discs on the front and just spray the hubs gold. I want the greenline spoiler but not at the price they sell for either! Some skoda stuff does seem to be very un-necessarily expensive I've noticed.
  3. I'm after some advice on converting my rear brakes to discs. A. Is it possible? B. Has it been done before? C. If it is possible, is it costly? I was under the impression for some reason that the VRS had discs in the rear, so my train of thought was that it would be pretty easy to just swap the hubs and link them up. I'm sure I was also told off someone that the rear end of the fabia is basically a polo/golf rear end so parts from one of them should bolt straight on? Have I been mislead or am I on the right track? Any advice or information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance, Jake.
  4. My EGR only just recently went at around 55k, I do a lot of miles (around 3k a month) and I service the car every 8-10k with Helix Ultra. I do lots of town miles but lots of regular long distance (50+ miles) motorway journeys too, I always run on Ultimate or VPower diesel, and let's just say my driving can be very 'spirited' quite often too. Realistically I think I tick all the boxes for a clean EGR, especially considering on my last service I ran a can of EGR cleaner through the car, but still, it went. Hopefully it won't go again soon, hopefully I can get it remapped and blanked off before then. Sounds like a big common problem with these seemingly.
  5. Sounds about normal to me, I've had it up to 116c but only after a proper hammering on the country roads on a hot day.
  6. Hi, I'm Jake, I live in a small town in Northumberland called Alnwick and currently own a 2010 Fabia TDI CR 105. Right now its standard aside from a K+N Panel filter, but my list of plans is as long as my arm! Hopefully I'll find lots of helpful info here.
