Anything steering related should not be left and at 11k is it still in warranty ? for the sake of a few quid talk to a local garage ask around for a reputable one DM

Took delivery on the 28th May, its a 5 year old car 13 plate and while it is not as well planted on the road as the Octavia 1.6 diesel I traded, it does behave well, steering feels lighter and a bit more twitchy but get it in the right gear at the right revs and it will deal with even the most twisty of twistys there is a sweet spot @ 20 k revs in third that will hunker it down in the bends, roomy boot 60/40 rear seat split, which I like, so all in all its a small family car and does the biz for me DM

Has the 1.2 tsi now changed to a belt I am considering a 2015 model

yesterday my engine just cut out and while it would crank it would not fire, pushed it to a car park poked about with the fuses all of which were ok and after about 10 mins arseing around with the fuses it started did a scan cleared the DTC,s scanned again no faults, so I am thinking the fuel pump relay may be intermitant anyone know the part number Cheers Dev

Its on the rhs under the bonnet slide back the 2 clips wiggle out the cover and fuses are from the top rhs 1 - 8 but position 1 will be empty but count it anyway theres 12 a space then 3 to 8 make sure you take carefull note of where you take it from Dev

As some will know the fuse card is pretty useless unless you can reverse the image and print it (anyone know how to do that ) anyway I have a issue with mine does anyone fancy taking a pic of theirs and posting it below one of the engine bay one too if possible so I can compare mine UK models only 1.6 tdi mk2 Ta much Devlin

Have you checked fuse 39 in the dash side cover and fuse 6 in the engine bay Dev

My front washers, rear wiper, central locking, just stopped so I checked the fuses none of which seem to conform to the manual or the card in the dash end fuseboard, some are the wrong amps some are just not there I ran a scan and a shed load of issues popped up then the glowplug light started to flash, I am tempted to just clear them get a load of correct fuses and put them in,,,,,, but what is right Mr haynes or the card which I think just shows fuses for every conceivable extra under the sun, if anyone has a MK2 fuse layout intact could I have a pic please Devlin

When selection Reverse with brakes on I can hear a faint noise like a relay buzz or a valve half working its ok in normal use but a bit odd reversing out the drive which is on a slight incline its seems to "chug" a bit DM

My drivers side window switches have stopped working, I have tried testing them but the pins are to small to get a meter onto, tried for voltage at the swich and nothing window switch on other side works as does the central locking button and the key switch works as it should, any one had similar Dev

I went down the cigar lighter route and bypass relay as a quick solution to get a van home I plan a more elegant solution later and use the rear ashtray cubby with a fuse and isolator within DM

2011 Mk 2 ,Simple question can the relay be powered from the cigar lighter, I dont need info on cable sizes, loads, fuses or any other issue, only if it is feasible DM

Engine number is CAY G14618 1598cc but my haynes manual only has the PD unit injector or Common Rail is is mine some other breed or is it one of the 2 in the book Thanks Dev

I have a weird tickover issue when hot, revs go up an down not but much but all most to a stall, hard to start when hot also and both my indicator dash repeaters go on with the rhs indicator but not the indicator itself, its like a combined electrical issue any ideas Dev
