  1. No, so far only a three-month old factory finish and a wipe with detailing spray after each wash.
  2. I realise you have now made a choice, but my answer to the your question would have been 'if you can't make up your mind, go for the one you can get the best deal on!' As pointed out in other threads, if you are prepared to accept an in-port car and compromise on colour, you have good leverage for freebie extras.
  3. First frosty morning with my new car. Opened the fuel tank flap and got to work with my fab Simply Clever free ice scraper!
  4. I've seen only one other MK3 Scout on the road in the ten weeks I've had mine. I find that surprising when I compare it to the 20-30 MK3 vRS's I've spotted in the same period.
  5. I think the one must have option is a spare wheel. It's the only one I have.
  6. I have leased a Scout, and, as you say, the cost of extras is paid in full over the lease period. So I went with standard halogens and had HBA (or ILA if you prefer) put on by VCDS. I'm happy enough with the halogens and extremely pleased with the HBA system. I haven't yet felt the need to dip manually before it operates.
  7. If that had happened to me I reckon I would have been on the phone to Eddie Stobart yesterday. Not in hope of changing anything, just to check out the dealer's story!
  8. I think this is all to do with resetting the steering angle sensors - if it is you should try to find a Hunter-equipped garage that has Codelink.
  9. Personally I think that's pretty good going!
  10. There are key protectors on Ebay that stand slightly proud of the buttons so that the centre one doesn't stick out. They also - and I apologise if I'm stating the obvious here - protect the key.
  11. It might not be reIevant or helpful, but for information I added HBA on my MY16 using VCDS and I still have the DriveGreen page (if that is the one you have lost.)
  12. £3.50 delivered from CPC. I don't know if it's the same size as the Skoda triangle, but mine came from a French Hypermarket and fits neatly in the straps in the offside compartment behind the wheel arch. (MY16 Scout.)
  13. Hello everyone - I've been posting for a month but never introduced myself here. I leased a manual Scout in September after getting fed up with throwing more and more money at the 16-year old Pug 406 I had been attempting to nurse through a couple more years. It all happened very quickly, I found some good deals online, went for a test drive and the Sales Manager at the dealership offered to match the best deal I had found if I took one of the cars already available at the port. Delivery was less than five weeks later.
  14. Ah, no, sorry. xpower did mention that there were some subtle differences in the adaptation charts between my car and the stickied one (his VRS) so I should have thought of that. I'll ask him if we can get some when we get a chance.
  15. Success with bit 0-2 set to 001 and being careful with the above!
  16. If you split up the compound words and go for wider meanings you get something like 'Tail release after-run following solo opening by remote'. I'd be very surprised if that isn't the one!
  17. I can't say yes to any of that with certainty - maybe we should have another try.
  18. We definitely tried hex 09. Everything was OK until the high beam was switched on, then 'HBA error' appeared in the Maxidot. I wonder why that option doesn't appear in the drop-down menu? Back to the drawing board...
  19. Sorry, post #6 in that thread, not #8.
  20. I think I might have found how to activate the taigate locking delay via VCDS - according to post 8 on this thread http://www.skodacommunity.de/threads/verzoegerte-verriegelung-der-heckklappe.89743/ you need to change (26)-Access control-Freigabenachlauf Heck nach Einzeloeffnung ueber HDF-Funktaster to active. The poster claims to have tested it - I'll try it myself when I can.
  21. Andy - yes, that's where the problems occurred. Since it'll be a while before we get a chance to try again, I thought I would try and teach myself something be working out your reason for suggesting hex 19. I have 40 years of hex and binary experience but 40 minutes with VCDS, so let me know if this is nonsense... For reference here is the screenshot of BCM from xpower's original thread (not my car!) The three choices available on the drop-down menu for bit 0-2 are xxxxxx00 Halogen w/o HBA xxxxxx10 bi-xenon w/o HBA xxxxxx11 bi-xenon with HBA The current/original value for byte 2 on my car is hex 08, 00001000. Not auto, HTDD, halogen w/o HBA. I don't know what HTDD is, but otherwise that is correct. Hex 19 is binary 00011001. Auto, HTDD, bi-xenon with HBA, unknown option. I'm guessing you assumed my car was auto, so if we change that bit back to 0 we get 00001001. After trying all the drop-down options, xpower coded that one manually. This gave a tickable HBA menu but produced an error message when high beam was enabled. So yes, we tried that (unless I am missing the point with the auto/manual bit.) I'm wondering, as the drop-down menu covers bits 0-2, if it mght be worth trying the other four options manually? ie 100,101,110 and 111?
  22. It's an elusive little chap - although mentioned in the manual as a something a dealer can do, my local Skoda agents didn't know anything about it when I asked them. However, that didn't stop them telling me how much they would charge to enable it - £65. I thought I would wait for the VCDS solution!
  23. Yes, I have lane assist. I should have made it more obvious by referring to it in the OP and not accidentally calling it lane control in the thread title!! Thanks for trying to help though, I'll take a look anyway.
