  1. Very good, wish I had known about that. I have come out of the house in the morning with the trunk being open all night....the placement of the button in the centre console is also very unintelligent, a mis-placed coolbag made it open in the lion enclosure at a safari park...nice one! Now moved to VW and its in the driver door away from all risk :)
  2. SIII 190 DSG L&K, with 15k on the clock and has always made a vibration noise when accelerating firmly to hard. Sounds like an exhaust/manifold/shield kind of connection being loose and would think it comes from engine compartment not inside....sounds like a Ford Fiesta Popular, not what I expected from flagship model, Havent bothered to do anything about it yet but will expect some serious action from Skoda when it goes in for it`s first service! Never had this on Superb I.
  3. Miss all the above, glad someone else does too! what about those little led lights that used to shine down from in front the rear view mirror and light up the centre console, great to find items you needed without turning on the interior lights...
  4. Did 6,100 miles on 190 DSG with 1,000 miles range left, so in theory 7,100m. Wait til it prompts to fill up (1000m range) and it accepts a full tank of 10ltr, so no mess or faff. Paid £20/10ltr off Shell forecourt for convenience but will likely try HGV pump next time.
  5. Excellent, sounds good, look forward to the coding!
  6. Any VCDS guru`s know if you can disable the TV Tuner via VCDS if required? Is there an option to have it enabled/disabled? Thanks.
  7. Anyone got any experience on some DIY bars? I`m not going to pay £200, i plan to use them once or twice a year on trips to the tip or something, nothing serious, so e-bay or halfords is more like it....any ideas, tips, avoids or experience please?
  8. Got it on L&K and something that you take for granted. Agree, Comfort is a very relaxing ride on cruises, but far too soft for any other journey. I use normal most often which is close to S2 but i would say it is softer than outgoing S2 even (S2 is a very good compromise). However, the way it seems to tighten up the whole car in Sport is awesome for a more gripping experience on country roads and I really love it. It makes the car shrink to something half it`s size. I realise critics will say that you dont get a Superb for fun - and i would tend to agree - but this is the best compromise you can get out of a hulk of a car like this. Go for it and enjoy...
  9. I (wrongly) assumed that the ACC lever under the indicator stalk when pushed forward would operate as normal CC, and back for ACC on, a bit like the SLA works, but it doesn't. Thats a bit crap. So....ACC activated all the time then, it seems. Still, I`d rather be with it than without and I'll let the thread run it`s course!
  10. Uh? Turn off Front assist on the steering wheel and you`ve got normal cruise (takes 3 seconds). Whats the big problem? It`s an assist feature. There`s times and conditions when it is not appropriate, common sense prevails? And remember that this is a relatively new generation, ACC will only get better as it evolves. Raise a glass to ACC.
  11. Yes, they're friction fit. Small instrument will enable them to slide out and push back in very easily. Thanks
  12. Kids+Can of coke=accident. over front of Colombus...bit worried about corrosion etc behind the buttons and would like to clear it up properly! Happy to see if they pop off the front but wanted to check if any techy user had previous experience.
  13. This probably seems a really strange question, but how do you remove the selector buttons for the canton sound system? Do they just prise off from the front with a thin blade/tool? Are they a 'friction' fit? Anyone ever had reason to do this?
