  1. The partial muting of the volume when reversing is one of the best low speed safety features on any car. I think it should be total mute & mandatory! The number of low speed shunts/scrapes & crashes I have seen over the years, that could have been prevented or drastically alleviated if the reversing driver could have heard the initial contact, are numerous. Music blaring out when reversing is bloody dangerous, presumably there is the option to total mute in the radio settings? Bruce.
  2. Not sure about any clauses in insurance policies, but screen replacements do show up on your claims history, which most insurers now share. I had 3 replacements, one each year on a van, just before MOT due. Didn't affect premium at existing insurer, but when that one stopped insuring commercial vehicles as a matter of policy, (they gave us all over a years notice they were withdrawing from that sector of the market), they were all on the claims history printout I asked for. Also, a tiny repair that was done by one of the windscreen replacement companies, which I didn't even ask to be done, fitter just said "we've done that one for free, no excess, sign here" while the van was in to have a side window fitted that I supplied from a breakers, also showed up in the claims history, with a £ value against it! They don't tell you that. With regards, to the Yeti, the screen is more upright than on some cars, so maybe thats it? Bruce.
  3. Yes, I did that too as I didn't like that either, bit OCD, so turned it off for each key, using the Maxidot MFD - and the indicator repeat function, but couldn't find anything in manual about stopping indicators flashing when unlocking/locking. If it needs plugging in, anyone know anyone in the Bristol area that can do it? Bruce.
  4. Bruce from Bristol here, newbie, looking for advice for the question above, any way to stop the indicator lights flashing when locking/unlocking? Personal preference, I just don't like it. Can't see any way via the MFD, is it possible via lap top plug in? Thanks in advance. Bruce.
