  1. Picked up mine on Sat 14th Dec and both washer jets stick out about 2mm at the top of the cover but are flush at the bottom. I'm a bit concerned that I am going to lose a cover at some point.
  2. This could be the deal breaker Skovirg, but is the C5 a TDi?
  3. As was I. Sorry I was being ironic. It may be a concept you may not have understood. Hence me adding the lol. I also see you live up to the anagram in your username. Lol
  4. Why would you declare factory fitted options? Surely the only thing that matters is the value of the car. The insurance are only interested in modifications outside of the manufacturers safety tested equipment. However seeing as 50% of the options are safety related do you think they would give a discount? I think not.
  5. Here's my Rio Red vRS TSi. It looks great, I don't know why everyone is doubting the colour on the vRS. It looks mean with the black pack.
  6. HI all.. I have finally taken delivery and am very pleased (so far). Loving the sunroof and the marmite colour, Rio Red.
  7. Hi Matt Pez. I love the sunroof too. Its huge, well not huge but I would guess 32.623% (a rough estimate) bigger than the one I had on my Mk2. I also like the sound generator, but it is good to have the option to turn it off. However it doesn't have the legendary VRS button, only 'mode' which is disappointing. attachment=46543:DSCF4091.jpg]
  8. I don't think its orange. I have a Chilli Orange Ltd Ed Corsa and it is a deeper red than that (I will post a picture of them side by side soon for comparison). I also think that it will look different again in full sun (if ever we get any). I am glad I took a chance and went for this over the other colours. It looks the business in the flesh, very subtle.
  9. Here is a quick snap of my new Rio Red arrival. Its sitting a bit high as its still on transport blocks and its under the non flattering lights in the workshop. But I think it looks really mean with the black pack, blackish wheels and sunroof. There was also a Corrida Red in the workshop without the black pack and sunroof and it looked a bit bland in my opinion. (but I would say that wouldn't I). I think the black pack is a must for all vRS's P.S Picking up on Saturday. I will post more pictures in the day light. Cheers
  10. Hello, has anybody out in Briskoda land got my old Yellow mk 1 vRS DX53KSK? I had 110,000 miles in her from new over nearly 9 years with only a water pump and a few coil changes. Running her for a while along side a mk2 FL vRS that I didn't really take to quite so much. If you have her give her a pat from me!
  11. Hi Fatfudgecat, looking good and reassuring as I ordered a Rio Red without even seeing one. Waiting for the call from my dealer to pick my TSI hatch up soon. pictures to follow. Matt your blue looks the business with the chrome trim as well
  12. It adds a bit of colour to the lane assist as well I believe. But if it's only £80 why don't they just make it a standard fit across all the models and add £30 to the basic price?
  13. Thanks Matt. I will give you a flash (headlights that is) if I'm ever up Sheffield way!
  14. I apologise if I have upset you. It wasn't a dig at Elegance owners. We are all one happy brand. It was my attempt at saying that the majority of all types of mk 3 appear to be white, blue or corrida red. I am in no position to talk about colours having once been the owner of a sickly green Estelle back in the 90s (but it did only cost £50 so I can't complain). Once again I apologise to all on this site if I have caused offence.
  15. And your colour is ........ Race Blue. How novel. Baa, baa, come by Shep. :-)
  16. Hi Xchillyx mine was due in dealers today so not long now. Went for tsi full leather, winter pack with heated screen, Sunroof, colour Maxi, Amundsen nav, spare wheel and black pack. Watch this post for photos.
  17. My Rio Red TSI vRS has reached the UK. I will try to get some decent photos posted ASAP. I agree with Xchillyx, I to had a blue mk2 fl, but everyone and their dog has one now (that or white) so I went for the unknown colour just to be different. I also had a yellow mk1 but the new yellow is to bright, otherwise I would have gone yellow again.
  18. Thank you all for posting. I hope I am as pleased as you all are in a few weeks when mine arrives. If that bl**ding boat ever leaves the continent that is!! Happy Octavioring.
  19. Probably not to be honest. I had the funny feeling something was going to happen for several months and ordered the new one a week before it went phut with only 52k on the clock. I never really took to it in the same way I did to my yellow mk1 which saw me to 120k with only a few coil changes.
