  1. I asked my local exhaust shop, they said it would be more expensive to do a custom exhaust. I'm in Norway, high cost of living and high wages.
  2. Well tbh I just trusted my mechanic on this one. He said it was a matter of time before it rusted through, but that'll always be the case on salted roads. For all I know it could be 5 more years. It's rusted through the outermost layer at least, haven't poked around too much in there. Friedrich motorsport make a turbo back system, with two different versions of downpipe with cat.: https://shop.friedrich-motorsport.de/skoda/fabia-ii-5j-2007-2014/?p=1 Bull-X as well: https://hg-motorsport.de/en/fahrzeuge/982/skoda/fabia_ii_5j_/rs_1_4_tsi_132_kw_180ps_
  3. So I've been trawling the 'net for exhaust options for my vRS. The original exhaust is getting rusty, and I figured I'd might as well upgrade while I'm at it. A full turbo-back system is what I really want. As far as I gather, cat back systems only really change sound and don't add much performance. So far I've found Supersprint with a full turbo back system (https://www.supersprint.com/ww-en/skoda-fabia-rs-14-tsi-180-hp-2010-2014.aspx), though not all parts are EEC compliant which I am pretty sure means my car won't pass inspection. Milltek used to have a full system as well, but I can now only find the de-cat downpipe which also fails to pass inspection. Cat back system seems to be gone from their catalogue. Lastly, Bastuck seems to only have cat-back(https://shop.bastuck2.de/index.php?cat=500000&hg=500180&hg2=500180011), but I found this downpipe with cat (https://dein-sportauspuff.de/bastuck-edelstahl-downpipe-mit-sport-kat-skoda-fabia-rs-typ-5j-schraegheck.html). It doesn't show up on Bastucks catalogue, which I guess means it's discontinued. They do have one for Ibiza 6J Cupra, which is the same engine (?). I've no idea of this part exists anymore, or if the Cupra one would fit. Have I missed anything? Any additions from you folks? The original back box needs changing anyway, so if there are no turbo back options I'll just get a stainless steel cat back system and be done with it I guess.
  4. Mine also work, and I haven’t modified it, so it must have been the previous owner. Interesting,
  5. I run 225/45R16s on my 8" ET36 wheels, no issues. Not lowered. Not sure if the vRS is different to the elegance, but I’d be shocked if it were.
  6. Thanks a bunch for this guide, might dare giving it a go myself now.
  7. 205/50 Hakka Black + 225/45/16 Kumho Ecsta KU31 I think.
  8. I found the difference in handling noticable, but no big change in ride comfort. The difference in handling on my car must also be attributed to wheels of lower weight and different oddset and width. Got a set of Volk Group CV 16x7/16x8 on.
  9. Sorry for bumping a 3 year old thread, but I just came back to these forums after a long break. My love for this car has just been rekindled now that roads are mostly snow and ice free again, and I'm itching to get summer wheels back on and giving it a good thrashing on some back roads. These videos were great. Man, now I want to get to modding..
  10. Welp, so this is what i ended up with. 16" volk group c's from 1998. Waiting until after the car's in for service on wednesday to put them on as the offset isn't quite legal.
  11. Do you feel the superlight wheels have made an impact on how the car handles and drives?
  12. As skinnyman said, superb is too narrow. Source: i have one and just tried to fit 3 seats in the back yesterday. Thinking we have to get a touran or smth now, we'll soon have 3 kids below the age of 3
  13. How does it ride now? Was thinking of doing the same a while back.
  14. 205/55r16 would be waaaaay too big. Will probably rub, and speedo would be way off. You need to step down to 15s or not go as crazy with the size change. 195/50r16 or 215/45r16 is acceptable, but might not make enough of a difference.
  15. The braids look a ton better than the xxr's too imo. Maybe it's just that xxr's are so common here that I've grown bored of them..
  16. Holy ****, what 8y.o. greenlighted that cartoonish NEW on the box Should be good though, lighting really is an issue on these
  17. Metallic black shows stone chips extremely easily, our superb is peppered with it. Hell, maybe it's poor skoda paint after all..
  18. It would be pretty horrid if the paint can't handle a little pressure washing. And polish is supposed to cut an extremely small layer of lacquer off, there should be more than enough for this not to be a problem..
