  1. I got my local mobile tuner to do it for me. He uses a custom written REVO map. The car definitely has more punch in a straight line, it will never be a racing car but I am happy with the improvement. Drives great, more torque too and like I say no loss of mpg
  2. Ive had a custom map done on mine and boosted power to 140bhp with no reduction in mpg
  3. LOL, my big car is a self imported Nissan Elgrand 8 seater. Only ever sold in Japan.
  4. The car would need to go back to the tuner if map was go back to normal and then again to have custom map put back. In my case I have been offered this service free of charge until warranty runs out on the vehicle, but this might just be because of the company I have went with, the guy was great and very friendly. The map was never done so I would have a hotrod, I would go back to driving an Impreza if I wanted that, unfortunately with young twins and four other kids the Impreza had to go to make way for a big car and a runabout, which the Rapid is. I just cant resist messing about with my cars, so until fast cars return I will just need to stick to modding this. It was more of an experiment to see what could be done with the little engine and I am happy with the outcome. Sorry if this has caused any arguments but its all a bit of fun.
  5. True 20bhp isn't a massive gain but in this car it actually makes a noticeable difference, Also the remapper stored the original ecu settings so if the car had to go in for any warranty work 10 mins and it can be reverted to standard. I have already noticed about 5mpg drop but that's probably because of the quick starts and high revs I've been using driving about today. I would deffo recommend it as it can be updated if any further mods are added to the car. Its never gonna win a drag race with an Evo but its enough to give me a smile in the baby transporter when the kids aint there lol.
  6. Had my remap done today, was a custom power map from revo. Car feels a lot more responsive on the throttle, the torque has definitely improved, and revo have given money back guarantee on 20bhp improvement. I'm happy with it.
  7. thanks for the reply, I didn't realise they had that bhp as standard. it is definitely a fast little car, here's hoping I get up round the 144bhp mark.
  8. I have the 1.2 (105) engine and I am going to get it chipped on Wednesday. I know that I wont gain a lot bhp wise but was just wondering if anyone had done it before and what the gains were?
  9. They are actually a very crisp white light, now need to upgrade other bulbs as prefer white to yellow look.
  10. No offence taken. You know what its like in car modding. If we got the hump every time someone didn't like a mod we have done we would all be walking about with a major grump on all the time lol. Anyway here are some pics, not the best but you can see how they look. https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=82051563FC96F47E!5491&authkey=!AFbQcmFLjdu9uck&ithint=folder%2c
  11. I have a set of the ones with the curvy DRLs, I like them
