Hi I am getting the Clarion NX505E DAB HU fitted to my Octavia MKII by an auto electrician next week. Am I right in thinking that to be able to use the standard amplified external aerial already fitted on my car I need to get this to be fitted or have I got that wrong? http://www.dabonwheels.co.uk/Kinetic_DAA-7001_aerial_converter_-_splitter.html

Just mind the Polish drivers in the trucks coming from the fish factories near the fjords. They can never make it up the hills with no tread on their tyres ;-)

£7.50 from Tesco's or a little more with P&P from Ebay and when it gets full of water you cook it in the microwave and use it over and over again. Really useful as the 'button' turns from blue to pink to tell you when it's full as well, slam it in the microwave for 6 minutes and the button turns from pink to blue and off you go again Bloody god send http://pingi.com/shop/pingi-car-dehumidifier-lv-a150/

I have to say if someone was sending me something valued at nearly £70K and only charging me £26 for delivery I would be seriously worried............

Should've bought a Canon ;-) This may help, my belief is that it doesn't matter what firmware you use. It is just down to the card. It's just like the MP3 player on the Bolero which is supposedly upto 8GB SD cards, but I myself and others can use 32GB cards with no issues and some I think have even mentioned 64GB. http://photo.net/nikon-camera-forum/00OfAi Personally I would just stick to Sandisk cards but you maybe the same as me anyway

Anyone help please? Does the 12 month warranty you get for buying a used Skoda from a dealer cover paint/bodywork? I've just finished washing my car that I've only had for 6 weeks and the paint work was literally peeling off on the sill at the rear of the car by the rear reflectors.and I mean peeling off..........

Does anyone use a CD slot mount to an iPad Mini, iPad or other tablet that they can recommend for a Skoda Octavia? I've been looking at the Satechi one on Amazon that seems to have had good reviews, http://www.amazon.co.uk/Satechi-Universal-Samsung-Microsoft-Surface/dp/B00II8JDRM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1443294226&sr=8-1&keywords=ipad+mini+mount+cd I just want one that fits well in the CD slot and doesn't bounce all over the place

flying debris on motorway.....
Bucksnaturetog replied to KevFinVRS's topic in Insurance & Legal Issues
One issue now is that from my own experience the police are EXTREMELY reluctant to even allow you to report such an incident. It means they have to formally investigate the incident and see no value as it just then becomes a negative statistic regarding road accidents that prefer not to have on the books. I came around a blind bend and hit a massive kerb stone that had been flicked by a bus into the carriageway and had very similar damage to whitep, I had photos of the markings and fragments of the bus left by the stone, there was no arguing the fact it came from the local bus company, but the police officer at the local nick wasn't even prepared to entertain me until I told him it was the law and even then I had to insist I needed t formally report it for insurance purposes despite me telling him that I thought it was the law to report road traffic accidents as such. He was not the slightest bit interested even though people had sustained aggravated injuries as well -
Skoda Orion 15" Alloys for Octavia MKII
Bucksnaturetog replied to Bucksnaturetog's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
My car that I get on Saturday has 15" 5 spoked alloy wheels that are marked and looked tired to say the least so I was looking on Ebay for a chea alternative, more wishful thinking than anything, and by chance came across them and couldn't believe the offer, they were on for £110 plus delivery or best offer so I offered £100 after checking out the seller and they are a group of garages in Crawley and the boxes have the original VAG address label to the garage on them. So I thought what the hell buy them and if there is an issue fitting them to my car I will just pass them on. It does mean though I can put winter tyres on the 5 spoked ones now that I take off as well Have to save saving over £100 on insurance compared to a Saab 93 1.9 TID and £70 a year on tax adds to the appeal of owning a Skoda -

This is what confused the hell out of me........ They definitely won't fit on the front of the CR170 Superb or Octavia due to bigger disks. 15" wheels do fit on Octavia 1.9's as I ran them on mine. At least I can rest a little easier now thanks
