  1. Right everyone, problem solved! After removing the entire boot trim and making sure no water was coming from the hose in the brake light, further investigation was needed. After managing to access behind the carpet just under the CD changer, I found a connector in the pipe had disconnected. Attached it back together and secured with some tape for extra security. Problem solved!
  2. t3rm3y, Right, just behind the boot handle on the inside is a screw. Remove it and that section of the trim will (carefully) pop off. Once thats off, the trim hiding the brake light is exposed. Either side of the window you'll see two screws, remove those and the second trim will pop off also. The light itself was held in by 3 x 13mm nuts (off the top of my head) which are easy to remove. Then disconnect the light from the power and washer hose and you're done.
  3. Thanks Munfred Do you mean within the light itself? No I haven’t tried that yet. That’s my next job. Working this weekend unfortunately.
  4. Hi Seen a few posts on here that have successfully repaired the rear washer on the hatchback, but not the estate. So when I activate the rear washer, the wiper works, can hear the motor, but no water. I've removed the rear boot trim and then the light, and the hose is still attached. I've then cleaned the nozzle with a pin and toothbrush. Still no joy, Can anyone help from here on? I don't know what route the hose takes through the car or how to access it. I've no obvious signs of water elsewhere in the car Any info appreciated Thanks
  5. Hi My 55 plate Octavia Estate has started with this today. I can hear the motor working when I try and activate the rear washer, but nothing. I've had the rear brake light off and the hose is still connected at that end. I haven't seen the post about removing the fog light for access, which one is it and is it easily removed?
  6. Where can I get this switch from? Searched online but can only find second hand. I've a 55plate 1.9TDI Estate. Having same problems.
  7. Notice a few have had issues with the indicators on mk1 and mk2 octavia’s. Mines started to play up today. When indicator stalk is in the full turn right position it goes a bit mental. It’ll be right, right, right, left, right, off completely, left, off completely, right and so on! When turning left its fine. I was sat at the lights waiting to turn right with the stalk fully up and nothing happening. Any ideas? Cars 2005 Cheers
  8. Thanks for the advice everyone, went for these 17" Audi A3 sport alloys. Wheels and tyres £150 (very good condition) fitting/balancing £40, Skoda centre caps £7. Look smart, rides a bit firmer though.
  9. Thanks for the advice everyone, i don't even know what offset my car would allow.
  10. Hi all Thinking of purchasing some alloys off eBay, 18" Audi sport alloys They should fit the Skoda right?? Any info appreciated
  11. Does anyone know where the parking sensor control unit is and how to get to it?
  12. That was my thinking, but can't find the control unit. It's not with the CD changer, and other posts state its behind the carpet, not a clue how to get that up. I've also got the storage compartment in the base of the boot to navigate round.
  13. Does anyone know how to disconnect/reconnect the rear parking sensors on an Octavia estate? Their picking up obstacles on the opposite side on the screen, and presume its just be reconnected incorrectly (ie reversing with obstacle on NS, showing on OS on screen). Any info appreciated thanks.
