After the last 2 services mine has always sat at the top of the hatched area, but what the manual doesn't seem to be clear on if its ok if the oil is in area a, I mean would the top bend be the equivalent to maximum is other cars where you don't have a hatched area

Hi All I know this has been of much debate but can anyone advise. My oil level is near the top of the hatched area when cold which I guess is fine. Am I right in saying that the absolute maximum is the top bend when the engine is hot. The reason I assume this is because that's how it seems to read in the manual. I have a 1.9 TDI PD by the way.

Well after sharkys post it seems mine has done exactly that and the little locking block had popped of presumably because I laid a picnic blanket on it, thanks for your help.

That's exactly what mines doing asked if warranty would cover it but skoda said not was thinking of taking it apart at the weekend and having a look as want it to close as it will be parked in a hotel for a couple of days over the weekend

Hi All My parcel shelf isn't locking on one side when pulled across is this easy to fix if does anyone know how?

Terrible garage they never call you back fob you off because they can't tell you what's wrong with your car even though independant garages can. They couldn't even get my service right they forgot to reset the service indicator left off engine covers and put wrong info on the invoice. Vindis called my to ask my opinion and I reiterated the above, they asked if I wanted a call back by someone senior at Cambridge I advised no as they wont bother as they have never bothered before.

In the boot of my car there is an unopened bottle of shell helix ultra professional 0w-30 av-l I don't need to use it but wondered if its suitable for my engine I I did its a 1.9 tdi pd 105

Clutch specialist today says it sounds like bent clutch fingers its a difficult one do I replace it wait till it gets worse

Going to a couple more places tomorrow to get it looked at as would like to get a definitive answer asap, as for skoda i dont know but it wasnt just them it was clutch specialists too it even says it in the sachs catalogue

In the sachs catalogue it lists 3000 951 708 for my car which is for cars without a DMF ??

Is there anyway you can show me where I can get one as Skoda says otherwise

2nd vids not mine so not sure just thought I would post it as exact same symptoms i haven't done anything to mine looked into dmf and clutch replacement but keep getting told I don't have a dmf and am getting concerned as to what this noise is

Have now rang Skoda uk head office and a large clutch parts co and they have also said its and SMF which is annoying in a way as trying to figure out and issue with the car when I tried to get repair quotes from 2 places they also said SMF

So what have 4 different Skoda dealers told me its and SMF

So why are Skoda telling me its an SMF this is 4 different dealerships

Been speaking to several places including dealerships regarding ongoing issues and each one has said I don't have a dmf just an smf in my Fabia 1.9 tdi pd 105 can anyone confirm this.

Hi all when changing from 1st to 2nd if accelerating up to 2k rpm it also if I dip the clutch and rev to 2k rpm ish its like a ba ba ba noise but is not evident at any other time I have no noises when idle the car is a 1.9 tdi pd

Yeah do take filler cap off every now and then, also there was an oil leak prior to purchase near the tandem pump they also replaced the gaskets for the rocker but no leaks now
