After my A3 the Fabia is a lot noisier. I had a £75 extra in the A3 that they called Acoustic Glass. It was a stately ride. I looked at a soundproofing kit for the fabia but as the wife drives it 90% of the time and it does not bother her I will just try and live with it.

I have just spoken with CS and they are looking in to it for me.

Skoda CS agreed to fit the Kenwood FOC. All done and working well. The dealer took a couple of days to do it but it was all hidden away and no sign of any boxes in the footwell etc. I asked them to leave the original Media button in place as the colour match of the replacement Media/Vav button is geared to the VW and the colour mismatch would have looked odd. Now just to get to the bottom of why the auto door locking/ anti hijack feature is missing from the firmware in my car.

Wel it's obviously not a DIY job or otherwise I am sure the technicians at the dealer could have done it. The options are not showing up on my system and apparently could not be accessed by the service guys using their plug ins either. What is BCM and where do I read off what version is installed.

I took my Week 21 build 1.2 SEL into the service department for them to activate the auto door locking / anti hijack feature. They were unable to do so. Apparently my car does not have the embedded software to allow this. It only brings up the three options on the owner controlled lock screen. They called the sales department who told them it was not a feature on my model and only on the trim level above. I politely pointed out that the SEL is the top of the range trim. The service manager was very polite but was at a loss to assist. Apparently they plugged in their computer but could not make the necessary changes. Anyone able to assist?

Is the abs system used in the Skoda? If it only holds for a few seconds it seems to defeat the object. I was hoping it would be the same as the A3. If you stopped it held it until you pressed thecacceleratorvand deliberately drove 'through it'. As the Fabia has a manual handbrake perhaps it is different.

So in its Skoda guise it only holds for a few seconds? The Audi version held until you accelerated through it.

I am tempted to have hill hold activated on my 1.2SEL DSG. I did have it on my Audi A3 and it worked well. Has anyone got it fitted and how do they find it? Does it cause jerky take offs and out of curiosity how does it work?

I have now ordered several accessories from SuperSkoda and have to give them the highest rating for great prices and speedy delivery. On my last order for mud flaps I had inadvertently ordered the wrong part for the rear and only picked up on it from on the forum after an email telling me they had been despatched. A quick couple of emails later they sorted it and the correct parts arrived. All fitted without a hitch. Nice to be able to give credit where it is due.

Rear window sticker removal is the first thing I do to any new car. Vision is everything and why would I let any free pr for the weaker block my view.

What is added to post week 22 for smartlink? I have asked the question in several posts but no answer has been forthcoming.

No update really. As I said it does Hold the iPad mini quite well and does not really get in the way too much. It would also work as a phone holder if needed.

I tried to turn on my door mirrors last night. I used common sense and tried to turn the adjusting switch around to line the dot up with the haeting symbol but it did not want to stop in the symbol position. Any ideas ?
