    Auto hold

Works a treat on my ASG
  2. The dynamic interior is such a bargain - it looks really great
  3. Gotta agree with this. Citigo on standard suspension and 14" wheels has an amazingly relaxed ride over UK roads. The rear suspension isn't very sophisticated but it's a very comfy relaxed package on the whole.
  4. Um, sorry to say, but the thought that a liner doesn't introduce a new area for all this mud and moisture to sit and collect, away from your hose, defies logic. Far easier to clean all the nooks and crannies without the liner. The only reason to fit them on the rear wheel wells of the Citigo is to reduce the noise of the mud and stones. Fitting them is a nice idea, but in my opinion not for the reason you've stated.
  5. And to answer your question - yes, you'll be disappointed - unless you've adjusted your expectations
  6. I have an ASG, I also have another couple of cars with various types of torque convertor autos and I have driven a number of DSGs. The ASG in the Citigo is slightly better than the auto in the old style Smart. It is slow, sometimes gets into the wrong gear for what you want, and can need a bit of a lift to smooth it out. However, as has been said, for lazy driving it is just fine. It makes the car much more efficient than a torque convertor auto and does;t have the massive weight penalty of a DSG and the like twin clutch set up. For me I'd prefer either a dual clutch or a torque convertor but neither suit small efficient cars. Its a fine box for its purpose, it just does;t have a wide breadth of abilities.
  7. Here are some pictures of the interior. I have to say I'm impressed with the dynamic option - really good value, particularly as it seems to include the tinted windows (I don't have a sunroof).
  8. Having just got my Citigo I was about to pull the trigger on these http://www.hids-direct.co.uk/r580-w21-5w-7-5w-cob-white-led-bulbs-2-bulbs/ (those yellow drls are not nice). Can someone confirm those in the link are ok, don't blow the fuses, don't need a resistor and dim when the headlights are on (as per the current bulbs)?
  9. Yes, if I put it right up I can see the dial but then the top of it is too far away really. Yes, have just found the setting to display the speed in the PID but it's small so I'll have to set some warnings I think. Really would like to have the speed dial on the PID, that would be excellent. So, if this wheel is on all the elegance models doesn't everyone with them have this issue? Its the same for me (6ft), my wife (5'6) and a mate of mine (5'9). And we've adjusted the seat height but unfortunately seeing the dial does;t match the 'correct' seating position. The dynamic interior is nice though - and I seem to have pimp tint that I did't (but later wanted) so I don't know if that is a spec change of comes with the dynamic interior pack.
  10. I an now report, as my car has arrived, that the Dynamic interior is really nice. Seats look quilted, leather sports steering wheel and leather gear lever and hand brake (though those might be standard). One problem. no matter how I set the seats the steering wheel obscures most of the speedo. Anyone else noticed this? I wish you could repeat the speedo on the PID!
  11. I have driven the ASG (do people really buy these things without trying them?) I've been driving Smarts for years and the ASG is a much better single clutch auto and perfectly fine for my needs. I'd prefer a torque convertor auto (or twin clutch, though they are a bit weighty, and the VW DSG isn't that good) but they are few and far between in small cars and have a disproportionate impact on acceleration and fuel economy. Single clutch automated is best for economy. I have something else to satisfy the sports car need when it arises.
  12. I've gone for an SE, ASG (wife doesn't have a manual licence), dynamic interior, PID and the black wheels. I suspect I'll add the tinted windows later but I was on a mission to keep the monthly as low as possible. Also think I'll need to buy some mats, preferably rubber ones. Where's the best place to get them from if Richard can't do me a good deal?
  13. I'm also dealing with Richard Haughton. They say end of year - least I hope so because my car is week 44 build (this Monday) and is therefore mid Nov delivery at the earliest.
  14. This is who I am buying from - didn't know they were stopping selling all the brands they have there.
  15. I'm expecting my Citigo in mid-November. My dealer has just let me know that they will no longer be selling Skodas at the end of the year. Anyone know if this is a general trend or I've just been a bit unlucky?
  16. Without any mechanical changes that is a pretty reasonable increase.
  17. Very nice. Did you know the build week for your car as I'm trying to gauge when mine might arrive?
  18. Ah yes, down at the bottom it has the best picture I've yet seen. Nice to see it appears to be white stitching rather than what appears to be piping on the config. Looks nice I think - still searching for a real life picture but that has put my mind at rest. It also appears that the dynamic black interior comes with the optional steering wheel. Seems a different shape and has silver inserts. Anyone know if this is correct?
  19. Thanks for the replies. Glad it's not just me. Finding a photo apart from in the confit has been difficult. Still on the hunt.
  20. Has anyone got a photo with the dynamic interior. I have optioned this just based on the configurator but have not seen it in the photo flesh, so to speak. Looking forward to a November delivery.
