  1. Am i right in thinking that to enable the Audi Throttle Pedal with OBDeleven i need to change this.... to this
  2. Page 118-120 in the latest manual? http://ws.skoda-auto.com/OwnersManualService/Data/en/Superb_3V/11-2016/Manual/Superb/B8_Superb_OwnersManual.pdf
  3. Well I was number 2 on the list with my 150TDi SE-L estate but that has now been traded in for a 190TDi 4x4 DSG SE-L estate in Business Grey. Extras are rear view camera,DCC, temp spare wheel, heated washer nozzles, park assist, integrated tow bar, colour maxi-dot & 18" pegasus alloys. Again this was a stock car so not exactly what I would have spec'd but close enough.
  4. The bars that Skoda sell are made for them by Thule. I have the Thule wing bars and the 775 feet.
  5. I checked it before I posted. The Travel mode on my car has no effect on the rear fog light.
  6. On my SE L Exec Estate at the rear the reversing lights (2, one each side) and the turn indicators are standard bulbs. Both are in the clear outboard section. In the tool kit there is a special 'ringpull' that is used together with the Torx driver to access the bulbs if necessary. LED's appear to be used for the rear lights, Brake lights and the single fog light which is on the RH side on my car. The fog light and part of the rear lights are on the inboard section mounted on the tailgate. There are other areas of this section that don't appear to illuminate. To access the inboard section would require removal of the tailgate interior trim so I do not know if the LED's are in place for the LH rear fog light. The 'Travel mode' in the car settings only affects the Dip direction, not the rear fog light.
  7. Bare in mid that a metal film heater will mean tom tom sat navs etc will probably not work along with some radar detectors and some reactolight type glasses etc.
  8. If you ask, you will probably get. I did and I did!
  9. So the question is.......... If you have Auto Hold, why would you want Hill hold?
  10. Delivery was on the 25th. The nets were either under the lower boot floor or in the LH cubbyhole (can't remember exactly). The locking wheel nut is top left under the boot floor - 14th picture above.
  11. It's on a separate video which needs re shooting. Basically I have seen a few reviews where the reviewer has failed to get it to work as they continually wave their foot under the bumper. If you just move your foot under and back out the boot opens after about a 1 second delay. Once you know the trick it works every time.
  12. RTFM required! BillyJim is correct. I was getting Auto Hold and Hill Hold mixed up. The button next to the park brake is the Auto Hold. Given the way that my car has just rolled backwards on a 14% slope, I'm guessing that I don't have Hill Hold!
  13. The settings menu. Please excuse my ramblings! I know i'd never get a job on the radio.
  14. There is a Hill Hold (HHC) button next to the Park Prake switch. Pressing the HHC button either enables (button lit amber) or disables (button not lit) the HHC. The car will remember this setting between drives. With the button lit and you stop on a hill (up or down) when you take your foot off the brake the brakes will remain on for a couple of seconds or until you press the accelerator whichever happens first. The electronic parking brake can be released by pressing the switch and engaged by pulling/lifting the switch (similar to electric window switch). It will also automatically release if you drive off and engage when you switch off the ignition (mine is KESSY but I assume that the keyed ignition will do the same).
  15. ....but on the way, the filler (no AdBlue on the 150TDI Man) and ice scraper. In the front. The car has the dark grey/black Leather & Alcantara option. And in the back The rear trizone controls The Columbus system in Apple CarPlay mode and using Apple Maps (zoomed out for privacy reasons but you can see some highlighted traffic problems). Lastly, under the bonnet. I've also done a couple of rather bad videos to take you through some of the setting options in the Car. I'll put them in another post.
  16. Continued.... There are two cubbyholes left and right. The one on the right has a strap for a first aid kit (not included) The right hand side also contains the two velcro box holders. There is also space under the sill for a warning triangle, again not included. The two cubbyhole doors are removable as is the floor from the left hand side which leaves you with some strange cutouts which just happen to fit......... The boot cover! Here is another picture with the bits back in place. (It could of course have been hidden under the floor if I'd remembered to put it back in the raised position!) Underneath the lower floor is either the space saver or some storage depending on options. Also shown here is the 'Boot Net Program". The left or right net can also be strung across the back rest. There is a LOT of space back here. This golf bag will not fit in a BMW 3 or 5 series with the driver in the bag. Although I have removed both cubbyhole doors here It would fit with the RH one back in place. Lastly with the seats folded forward. Next, interior.
  17. A few pictures of my SE L Exec EST for those who are interested. The Boot with the cover pulled back. ...and with it forward This car has the variable boot floor option. Here it is with it in the down position. While it is up you have a space between the two floors of about 8cm to hide laptops etc out of sight. The floor also folds. There are hooks left and right for shopping, the optional seat back releases and the torch on the left. The torch is removable and is magnetic. It acts as the boot light and is recharged when it is in its holder.
  18. The L&K hatchback Demonstrator at West End Dunfermline has DCC fitted if you want to try it out. It's also a DSG 190TDI. Their demo estate is an SE 150 manual.
  19. One thing to note if you are used to the electronic handbrake on non VAG makes is that the one fitted on the superb is selectable to auto or manual and it also works downhill as well as up.
  20. In Sport it is firmer than the standard car. In normal it is a little softer. In comfort it is similar to an old hydropneumatic Citroen (GS/CX/DS/XM etc). It just wafts along as if the bumps etc were not there. It's excellent for motorway driving. Don't forget there is also a User defined option so you can set it up the way you want.
  21. What works for you will depend on your lifestyle. If you work a regular pattern that does not change then Hive, Nest or the Honeywell system will work well for you. Although it is reasonably easy to change the settings via internet/smartphone etc if you have a working pattern that has no pattern then you will soon get tired of changing the settings and you will end up not bothering and running it like a normal thermostat/time switch setup. I am on of those who falls into the latter category. I have no set days off or working times. I get a roster each week that shows me the next five weeks ahead. For this reason I fitted a Tado 18 months ago. The system uses geofencing to control the heating and ho****er so the house is warm when I am there and not when I am away. It also takes account of the weather to anticipate demand and regardless of settings it alway has a frost protection mode. I have saved around 24% in our gas usage versus what we used before it was fitted. I very rarely look at the app or adjust the settings (maybe once every couple of months) and only then to check if my wife is home before phoning! Before going with the Tado I looked at Hive, Nest, Honeywell (way too expensive!) and a myriad of other internet enabled 'stats but they all required you to control them in some way. With Tado all I have to do is take my phone with me when I leave the house. Nothing else.
  22. Mine is Moon White and you have to get bloody close to see that it is metallic.
