If you buy a Fabia II Sport it will have -15mm springs on it as standard.

Is the S2000 body kit in aftermarket form available anywhere to buy?

I would be very interested to hear what the outcome is and how these guys deal with thier mistakes as I have seen a few things I might get when I find my Fabia II.

Damn, you beat me to it. I was looking to put those on a Fabia sport (when I can find one) but paint the rims a nice shade of motorsport white. Looking good, and like the body coloured fog light surrounds.

Id love to come along to this, just need to find a Fabia II 3 or sport spec in black at a reasonable price.

Thanks fabia55. They have the OE front and rear spoilers that came standard on the sport there which I dont think you can get the front bumper spoiler from Skoda anymore. I am looking at buying a Fabia 3 1.9 PD105 and think all they need is the OE bumper extensions to finish off the look nicely. They arent that cheap for 2 bits of plastic though.

...All the money you "save" hypermilling or whatever it is you do you just burn up in the Porsche and MR2! Is it really worth it being so concerned about mpg? Just get a 60mpg diesel and be done IMHO. Alternatively, discussing driving styles do the IAM course you will learn how to drive a car safely while maintaining progress and wont be a risk to other road users in the process.

Ater owning an 06 fabia vRS a while ago and selling it due to it not being able to fit a double buggy my partner has said she wants a Fabia again (dont need the double buggy anymore). I know the vRS mk1 will be a different animal to the PD100 found in the mk2 but I am not really fussed about outright performance anymore. The only thing I do to all my cars is alter them in some way; brakes, suspension, a few engine mods although nothing like uprated internals and external appearence, wheels, grill etc I have been looking at a Fabia 2 1.9 PD105 Sport and have had a quick browse of the mk2 section here and cant find many users "tuning" them. So would love to see some pics of what people have done to thier Fabia mk2s as it will sway me more to getting one. Would be interested to see if anyone has done anything with the brakes and suspension and some feedback on what the stock setup is like in the "sport" spec. Thanks in advance

Autocar magazine have said the vRS will be out July 2010, 3 years after launch, hmm, just like the first fabia vRS - so no suprise there. The wait will be over, the speculation will be over and everyone can get on with it. It wont be diesel, 1.4 TSi, it wont be manual, DSG only and it will have @170-180bhp. So it will be just another boring VAG warm ish hatch, in the same vein as Seat's and VWs offerings. Good call Skoda, Not.

Didnt they also use the 38t in 39' in thier blitzkrieg of Poland?

..The PD140 also costs slightly more to tax and must have more regular oil changes because apparent "sludging" can occur inside the engine which causes oil pump failure, then in turn knackers the engine. PD130 = reliability, PD140 = rigourous servicing, higher road tax, DPF (can fail causing big expense, also hampers performance and doesnt reduce emissions, as these engines emit more co2 than the PD130s, resulting in higher road tax). To sum up, the only advantage is an extra 10bhp, whoopy doo.

It worked: trip to local dealers, removed plastic cover with flatblade screwdriver, took out fuse number 15, replaced fuse, cover clipped back in. Started car, windscreen wipers and washers working perfectly. Thanks again. Alex

I have tried my windscreen wipers and they dont work, nor do the washer jets, rear wiper and wash works though. Could it be the relay for the motor or is it the motor itself? I thought they maybe frozen but tried later and still noting. Anyone got any ideas?

Ive had this problem too. Its really damn annoying. They should have done more to make these cars seal better, a bit of a joke considering VW uber build quality reputation.

Nissan Almera diesel or GTi - as above - all can be obtained for under £1500, running costs such as fuel, parts replacement might be high but they are all known for thier reliability.

cheers Thanks for info. The full Nappa leather would be a bonus but sunroof I dont care about, not as safe as a roof and another place for water to come in and if theres climatecontrol is a sunroof really needed?

Interesting that most cars listed are Elegance spec wth alot of edition 100s and then Comfort spec. I thought maybe the classic spec would be the most common?

As long as there is room in the boot after the buggy is fitted for things like shopping bags or luggage then that will do.

...Your Superb looks very subtle indeed, the colour, rims and front splitter (which looks like one from a Leon Cupra-R?) do suit it well. I just so happens I have a brand new LCR splitterin the garage which I intended on fitting to the Fabia. Might keep it now. I dont think Il bother with Satnav as I already have quite a competeant TomTom. I just hope the one im looking at has folding rear seats, will find out when I phone them tomorrow.

...I dont see many "modified" Superbs around. not that I intend on doing much but I think a slightly lowered Superb on 18'' BBS CHs or RSs, boot lip spoiler and a dual exit exhaust would look nice. Cant seem to see any non standard ones on the net though.
