  1. Hi, have you set up a home location in the Skoda app?
  2. Sorry, have only just seen this. Glad you managed to get it sorted.
  3. I just set a time based schedule in the skoda app to start charging at 11:35pm and finish at 5:25am
  4. No luck getting everything to work together so I have given up and just set the car to only charge during the octopus off peak hours. I had this response today from Skoda: Thank you for your feedback and for your continued patience. Following our technical investigation, we’ve identified that the use of certain third-party applications can generate a high volume of requests to our backend systems. This can lead to incorrect or delayed status updates within the MyŠkoda App. To ensure the stability and reliability of the app, we kindly ask customers to refrain from using third-party apps at this time—with the exception of Tronity, which has an officially supported integration with our systems. We understand the unique requirements of the UK market, particularly around smart charging and energy tariffs, and we want to assure you that we are actively working on solutions to better support these needs while maintaining optimal app performance. We truly appreciate your understanding and are committed to improving your experience.
  5. Hi Steve, that's very useful info thanks. I will give it a try and see if it works for me. Thanks Mike
  6. Thanks Steve, I've tried that and it got the connectivity working in the first place. The trouble still seems to be that the car doesn't like to be woken by the charger after it has gone into its standby mode. Octopus and Hypervolt have both been very helpful. Unfortunately Skoda don't seem interested in helping so I'm no further forward.
  7. Thanks, I'll give it a read. Octopus said they have stopped the test charge step now and it goes straight through to the next stage during setup. I am able to trigger a bump charge from the Octopus app if I do it immediately after the car is plugged in so my guess is that there's a problem with communications handshakes resulting in the car not responding to a request for activation after having shut itself down.
  8. Latest update from skoda: "We have now received feedback from the team. They have confirmed that your vehicle is currently communicating correctly with our backend systems. However, we would like to clarify that Octopus Intelligent and the Hypervolt Home Pro 3 are third-party charging solutions that are not officially supported or validated by Škoda Auto. As such, we cannot guarantee full compatibility with the Škoda Elroq’s internal charging system. Additionally, we regret to inform you that we are not authorized to provide internal diagnostic data directly to customers. For optimal charging performance, we recommend using official Škoda solutions, such as the in-vehicle charging scheduler or the MyŠkoda app." Looks like I'll need to just schedule charging without the Octopus intelligent benefits for now, but when my lease is up I'll be looking for a vehicle that is compatible with my charger and electricity provider.
  9. Hi Steve No the car doesn't charge at all automatically. I have managed to get it to charge by using the bump charge option in the octopus app as soon as I plug the car in. I'm not sure if I have Skoda Car Connect. I have the MyŠkoda app on my phone and that has a vehicle health report option which says "All good". Hypervolt seem quite helpful and I've gone back to Skoda to ask again whether the vehicle logs show anything that might diagnose the issue. Fingers crossed! Cheers Mike
  10. Hi, yes I have checked and removed all schedules from the car and the charger. It's the tone of Skoda's response that particularly grates. I get that Octopus is a beta product but their response suggests no interest in even providing any data to help me as a customer.
  11. Well here's the official response from Skoda. Not impressed with their lack of interest. Thank you for reaching out and for providing the details regarding your Škoda Elroq and the charging issue you're experiencing with the Octopus Intelligent tariff and Hypervolt Home Pro 3. We would like to kindly inform you that the use of third-party applications or external systems to manage the vehicle’s charging process is not officially supported by Škoda Auto, unless such applications have been explicitly approved. These systems have not been validated for compatibility with the vehicle’s internal charging management and may result in unexpected behavior, such as communication errors, charging interruptions, or system faults. At present, the only third-party application officially approved by Škoda Auto for selected data services is Tronity. The use of any other unapproved applications may compromise system performance and is therefore not recommended. To ensure reliable and safe operation, we recommend using only approved Škoda systems, such as the Infotainment interface or the MyŠkoda app, once the relevant features become available for your vehicle. We appreciate your understanding.
  12. Hi, I have an Elroq 85 and a Hypervolt Home 3 Pro. All worked fine until I switched to the intelligent octopus tariff. Octopus are supposed to be able to control the charging schedule but every morning I wake to messages on my phone saying that Octopus was "unable to control my device". Octopus are blaming Hypervolt who are looking into it at the moment but seem quite slow to respond. So no idea yet whether it's an Octopus, Hypervolt or Skoda problem.
