High Mileage Register - Superb 3
Juvehero replied to RickTT's topic in Skoda Superb Mk III (2015 - 2023)
October 2015 - 22,500 miles - SE Business 2.0Tdi Fuse box service recall Two new front tyres First service at 20k - known fault with windscreen washer fixed - no other issues apart from 3 visits to dealer to reset service interval indicator - finally had to access Octavia software to reset system (no I didn't understand that either) No major issues or rattles so far - great car, very happy with it although will probably go for an SEL or Sportline when this lease is up. -
So I was pottering around the car today after getting it washed and I opened the front passenger door, probably for the first time since the days following delivery. I noticed that there were signs of wear on the edge of the glovebox housing, just at the point where it abuts the door card when the door is closed. Slight signs of corresponding wear on the door but definite "rubbing" marks on the dash \ glovebox area. I've had the occasional rattle from the glovebox area, usually when the car is cold and usually solved by a bit of gentle percussive persuasion. It seems the dash\glove housing is a couple of mm off square. Anyone notice anything similar on theirs? Might explain some of the noises being reported in that area.

Enjoy it Rick. It's been a long wait! Any surprise extras? -
Yes, functioning LED inner tail lights are on SEL's and above

I received the paperwork followed up by a phone call from Assistance (or maybe the other way round) within a couple of weeks of getting the car last year.

I got the blinds for free. Haven't actually used them apart from when I collected the car at the dealership I pulled one down and said "I didn't order those"

Condensation in headlights

You're really getting your money's worth from those rear parking sensors!! Lovely looking car BTW. What colour is that again? -
Mine took about a week from arriving at the UK port to delivery to NI dealer. Woodside's are the haulier, probably depends on how it takes to fill up the transporter. What dealer are you with? If it's Mulholland Campsie it will take another few days to get there as all their new cars are delivered to Randalstown first.

Yeah that's happened to me a couple of times this winter. It's just the sensor on the centre of the grill getting snowed up. Nothing to worry about but a bit unnerving the first time it happens. -
Picked up Piglet on Wednesday

Really nice. Love that colour. Kind of wish I hadn't changed to business grey. Petrol blue was my first choice. Enjoy! -
Just under 8k in and was returning about 53 or 54mpg. Switched to Sport mode for a couple of days and it dropped to mid 40's. Switched back to Normal and it's back up to 54. Will conduct some tests in Eco mode over the next few days. The things I do to pass the time!! All figures are from maxidot.

Glad you got the door seal sorted. I was surprised when I read that you were disappointed by the levels of wind noise. I moved from a Citroen C5 which is a pretty quiet car but found the S3 was even quieter. And yes the screen washers are pants. Welcome to the club and happy motoring.
