Sorry should have addressed you as Samuir1974. I have an Octavia L&K 2002 with a 1.9TDI AHF engine and an EGS gearbos. I have to replace the gearbox, the gearbox still works perfectly but has lost all its oil and the housing is broken. When I was looking for a replacement in certain cases although it was a code EGS I was told that it did not fit my 2002 Octavia. Is the code EGS unique or are there variations? The local Skoda rep says that is the only reference.

I have to replace the gearbox it is an EGS. Are all EGS bearboxes identical. When checking on internet although they offered an EGS gearbox I was told it would not fit 2002 Octavia. Any help? Thanks
