  1. Has anyone found an alternative that fits the PID mount in the centre of the dash that will allow the use of a larger smart phone? My Galaxy S20 plus won't fit the Garmin mount
  2. I ran my wifes 1.2 Yeti last winter on my old Superb alloys with Nokian Weatherproof winters. It got me through some really serious white stuff when I had to go down to Ludlow despite a red weather warning. For sale now but not sure if I can link ad on here.
  3. Am I allowed to link to my ad on pistonheads or facebook here?
  4. Bear in mind that your warranty is an enhancement of your statutory rights, not a replacement. If its that bad, i.e. not fit for purpose, then you could sue the dealer that you bought the car from. I did this with another car brand (and the manufacturer and HP company) and it got settled quickly.
  5. If it comes out of Sheerness tonight it will probably spend overnight at Medway Services on the M2 along with all of the other truckers.
  6. Snap. Got a 1.2DSG Monte Carlo Yeti on the £79.95 pcm deal delivered a week ago. I quite like the high up driving position better than my Superb.
  7. front seat passenger will love you unless you buy earphones for it too.
  8. If skoda are cracking down on dubious fleet sales then I would expect them to target all intermediaries. Its not hard to find them on google is it?
  9. Check your T&Cs with NCD. I bet they can pull out if Skoda won't/can't supply the car. Your losses will be limited to your deposit so CC won't get involved beyond that.
  10. 46.67mpg over the last 6159 miles since 23 March. 2015 140 DSG twindoor.
  11. I can't imagine it. Bodyshells are different.
  12. I once had an intercooler leak which prevented regen occurring and filled the DPF. Similar symptoms.
  13. When the diesel particle filter is becoming full, the ECU automatically goes into regen mode and increases the DPF temperature significantly to burn off the contents. It does this by injecting diesel straight into the DPF which is part of the exhaust. This will happen more frequently if the car is used on short city journeys rather than piping hot motorway cruising.
  14. This is actually very helpful. I drive a Superb S2 150 DSG now and get average 45mpg over 12000 miles since Xmas. Mileage won't always be this high, but sadly work is 225 miles from home. I do have a petrol car for fun (Duratec engined Lotus Elise) so I can blow the cobwebs out, however, a big part of me is leaning away from complex diesels and ultimately the 220 has got the VRS engine. I think I need to find one to test drive...
  15. Yes, hence the £26k gets me either a 150 dsg or 4x4 L&K estate with some options.
  16. Ok so its getting close to decision time for my next keeper. Expected to last 4 years and 120k miles. L&K Spec Estate I can't justify more than about £26K which counts out the 190 DSG 4x4. However I can't decide between 150 DSG (poss big repair bills) or manual 4x4 I spend a lot of time doing long journeys at night often in bad weather, and drive across to Italy twice a year. Then there is the curved ball of the petrol 220? I really think I need to drive one of each. Sadly, when my current Superb was in for service last week, the pre booked test drive couldn't happen as the demo car wasn't there. I'm in and around Kent during the week and Staffordshire at weekend. Anyone know what demos local dealers have got?
  17. registered from Sheerness Docks like many of the fleet cars. All of Enterprise Rent a Car Skodas are GF reg plates.
  18. My problem is that I'm holding off a remap until after the recall is done.
  19. and without satnav what camera screen are you going to use? I can't use rear view mirror without losing autodim.
  20. Jeans front pocket. Done it a couple of times.
  21. Just need them to open up the interesting paint colours now so that I can order one!
