  1. Hi did you get the Philadelphia 835 in the end? Any good?
  2. Hi did you get one of these? I am thinking about replacing the Columbus in mine as its so poor. My reading is this is plug and play with nothing additional needed for steering wheel control, pdc and climate display but could be wrong? Any idea if it supports the TV function on the L&K? Ta
  3. Hi guys, yes I am still very pleased with the outcome. The car is more stable through turns. It defiantly sits about an inch higher up due to the high pressure shocks but I am fine with that. At lower speeds you will feel it more, around 30 - 40 mpg, pot holes are still pot holes.. But things like speed bumps you will notice how well the suspension performs if you take one a little quicker by mistake and roundabouts you will notice how level the car stays. On a roads 50 - 60+ the car generally feels really smooth and handles well. It's still a big car, but you can tell its much improved for me. Things to consider, now the suspension is firmer you could notice that the car gives a little flex, headlights will need adjusting, still need to do my manual adjustment. All in all I'm happy
  4. Hi Alex what did you mean by a 'basic setting' I have not checked the sensors yet but will do that first.
  5. Driving home tonight my self adjusting lights seemed very low on dipped. Do you think I need to get this adjusted since the shocks change?
  6. Yes I kept the original springs, just the b6 shocks, tyres are great too.
  7. I had the b6s fitted yesterday and I am very impressed with the improvement over the standard shocks. The car sits a little higher as the high pressure shocks hold the weight and don't sink as much as the standard which I think makes the car look better too. I had the car loaded with 5 people and drove through Milton Keynes so lots of roundabouts and the car stays much more level through turns giving a much better driving experience. I have read the they need about 300 miles or so to bed in but really happy with the change already. Through town the ride is similar to before but it's less crashy over pot holes and drain covers. Its definitely a little firmer but I recently put a set of Nokian Weatherproof tyres on which are a bit softer then the standard Continentals. It's not been cheap but I do a lot of miles so really wanted to improve the drive and feel of the car. I am staggered by the difference over standard so if you are mulling over the same I say it's money well spent.
  8. I just ordered my b6 set so I'll let you know how they go. It will probably be a week or two before I get them and book fitting. The b4 are like for like, b6 is heavy duty so I guess will be a little firmer but should also handle the weight of the car better?? I think the other sets include springs and height adjustment but I'm happy with the ride height so b6 I think is right for me. It worked out about £410 delivered.
  9. Hi Alextan, If you use the Bilstein App you can get the right part number. Mine is a 2015 170 4x4 Estate with standard suspension. For the b6 shocks part numbers are 35-122074 front 24-172936 rear I am looking at getting mine from http://nh-tuning.de/ Seem to be well priced
  10. Hi James, Its the constant bumping and crashing over bumps, drain covers etc, we know the roads in the UK are not the best and in a good bit of tarmac the ride is excellent, unfortunatly we dont have much of that here. It reminds be a lot of a 3 series I used to drive which was one fitted with early run flats which used to feel everything i drove over. (I didnt like that either) Its like that now, but with a bit more give due to the Skodas softer setup. Reading this it must just be a combination of wheels and tyres on the L&K which cause the issue, so the answer would be to change the wheels and tyres if I want more comfort, whcih I do. Anyone want to buy a set of L&K wheels and tyres which have dont about 9k?
  11. Hi silver 1101 can I ask how much you paid and where you got the winter wheels and tyres from? I have a new ish l&k and the 18inch wheels do ruin the ride comfort. I was thinking of getting a set of winter wheels the possibly switching to 17's for summer tyres next year
  12. Hi Dstev200, how are the b6 shocks? I have had my superb 2 l&k since April now up to 9k so it's run in, and the ride is not great it wallows around over undulations and is quite bumpy on poor roads. I have found a company in Germany who can supply the b6s for around £420. I don't want super stiffness but I really do want to improve the ride and handling. Just wondering if you still think the change is worth while?
