  1. Sorry to hear that it's just not the sort of life you would expect at all. Mine failed pretty catastrophically...outside lane of dual carriageway when coolant light came on, pulled over into parking area luckily metres away and pretty much all the coolant was gone. AA topped up and switched engine on the. It dumped all its coolant on the floor again.
  2. Just to add mine used to have quite a rattle on the drivers side, but it had a recall on the window guides IIRC. The funny thing was they did the recall then checked out my report of the rattle which low and behold they called me saying where was the rattle because they couldn't find it :-) never had an issue since.
  3. Hi all i've had a MkIII 2.0 TDI Superb Estate from new since Dec 2015 with a 4 year 80K warranty, Water pump has just failed 80700 miles and resulted in a £650 bill to replace it, timing belt and auxillary belt. Seems pretty poor to me for a little over 3 years and just over half the timing belt interval miles and nowhere close on age, so my argument was it should last at least as long as the belt plus i can do 700 miles in a week no trouble. Does anyone know if these cars have the pumps with the plastic impeller/ common fault? i guess since my car was quite early and higher than typical miles there might not be many who would have seen any issue if there was one. This is the second VW group car that the water pump has failed on me under 100K miles so not too pleased (last one was a Seat at around 90k) , so far Skoda have agreed to contribute £250 as goodwill not too impressed and reconsidering what i get next when lease runs out in December, wish i hadn't extended it to a 4th year now but we're in the process of moving house so not great time for large costs! If anyone knows of any good routes to go down with a complaint as my experience speaking to Skoda customer services was quite poor unfortunately.
  4. If you do need it .net 3.5 can be added to windows 10 from the control panel - programs - turn windows features on/off Find .net framework 3.5 and tick it On at the start menus just type "windows features" to find the same-sex menu. Have to do this often for installing our particular software for work. Edit just seen Mik3F posted the same
  5. I was in a similar situation SE business estate, 3 year 25k miles a year pch at 330 per month, expiring December, (extras; park assist, rear crew assist and 4 year 80k warranty) excluding maintenance. Looked around and even with my mileage set to drop the v90 or another superb were the only options I considered if I was to replace it. Was quoted 10k to buy it with almost 75k miles covered already or £265 per month for 12 month extension. Went with the extension for now and will reconsider in a year. Hoping either for better deals or new options to tempt me.not sure how much the mileage affects their calcs but I was surprised how much the price came down. Looking at an aftermarket warranty though as too much electrical to go wrong!
  6. Yeh I would agree it's worse than my previous ibiza St on worn surfaces and that had basically no sound deadening smooth surfaces are fine for me and way less wind noise than any car I have ever owned not to mention a nice ride on the motorway. I think with a lease car I would have to fit oem does anyone know for sure? Or if there is an alternative that is also fitted can't imagine they only use one manufacturer... mine is on 17 inch wheels
  7. I have the amundsden and find the entry of destinations, colour scheme and position of the screen in the car difficult to get used to. Sure I can look at the maxidot but it's nowhere near as clear in its guidance as my 2 year old tom tom. This also has liftime map and traffic. Downside of course is having it attached to the windscreen with wires trailing.
  8. It does sound low for that kInf o driving averaged 60 mpg on maxidot on a 300 mile round trip from brighton to the Midlands via m23,m25 and m40 and I certainly didn't keep to 70 all the way scc was set above that most of the way. Bit of slow traffic and start stop on the m25 and town driving at either end. More genreally I struggle to get less than 50 mpg 50-55 more typical for mixed driving. Manu ally calculating fill to fill is withing a couple of mpg. This is for a 150 tdi manual with 1700 miles and in normal mode.
  9. Actually it says can be used on rubber or carpet side it clips together neatly when not being used in its extended state. the bit that flips out over the boot lip is rubbery not quite the full length though. For me it's about protecting when loading up as my old estate car had a few scrapes no matter how careful you are it's easily done.
  10. Think that might be a different version you ate thinking of I have the one that flips out. It is carpet normally but then folds out to protect the boot lip and the other way to protect the seats. Not had a proper go yet as the weather has been pretty rubbish. Link below to the one I have for the estate there is another version for the saloon. http://www.superskoda.com/Skoda/SUPERB-III/Superb-III-Combi-flip-folding-boot-mat-textile-rubber-original-Skoda-Autoas
  11. Hah not me, mine arrives next wednesday but very weird co-incidences! Shopping for accessories is helping the wait! Also got some compensation from Skoda for getting the wrong wheels and mats from the dealers so feeling more postive. Seen a few Seat Ibiza ecomotives on autotrader over the last few months, private sales with the mileage mine has (approaching 110,000 for an 11 plate car) are up for 3500- 4250 generally with delaers being the high end. Think i'll put it on there/ other sites for a while then if i don't get a decent offer its off to one of those places that buys any car!
  12. I am warming to them, thinking more calmly now after a stressful week i am mainly angry about the lack of communication that has added to my stress levels having to get my old car ready to sell, get insurance sorted etc etc. Plus the poor attitude of Skoda customer service and just the principle of not getting what i ordered or even my second choice wheels! Anyway the Red is what i am most happy about much more vibrant than the configurator/ visualiser suggests and a change from the silvers/ grey i've generally had (along with many others it seems!). I think the sharp lines of the new Superb really suits the bolder colours where as the old mdoel i would have probably stuck with something more "refined" No offence to everyone who has chosen one of those my current car is a dark grey and I wanted a change!
  13. Hi first of all thanks to all for the links in here saved a huge amount rather than going to the dealer, however i wonder if anyone can help me confirm if there is a different set of boot nets for the Estate version? The ones i have found e.g. skodadop and Skoda cz say limousine rather than estate/ combi and the accessories guide shows pics only of the saloon/limousine http://www.skoda.lt/katalogai/Documents/Superb_Accessories_ENG.pdf Thanks Alan
  14. Not impressed with my experience but at least i'm getting my Superb Estate SE business soon (2.0 TDI) For me i ordered on the 28th of August on a private lease through the same company we use for some of our company fleet (although finance is actually through skoda i found out this week) I requested build estimate numerous times along the way. Then when i saw the issue with the Stratos wheels on the forums here I contacted Fleet company who in turn contacted the dealer at the beginning of October. At this point the dealer says they were told by Skoda that my order was not affected and would have the Stratos Wheels as ordered. Next got contact (despite asking for build estimate again) on the 27th Oct to say i couldn't have the Stratos, i asked if i could wait or upgrade to 18inch Wheels for free/ discount. Bit of backwards and forwards and i was told no on the 11th of November So i replied that although i'm not happy would go for the optional FOC Zeus wheels, again requested build estimate (didn't know i could contact skoda customer service direct!) Friday 20th get a message to say car will be at dealer on Monday 23rd Nov (turned up at dealer tuesday) but they weren't sure what wheels were on it! the Fleet companys words were "terrible service from Skoda) What a joke no time to get my current Ibiza ST together to sell as didn't want to repair the single dent and scratch only to get another fromt a careless road user! I'm also in a tricky situation as the Ibiza is one of those affected by the emissions scandel (1.2 tdi ecomotive) so think i may struggle to sell or get less that i had hoped for it, all in all VW group are not impressing me the response from Seat customer service has been woeful. So it's turned up with the Helios wheels, not happy but well its no skin off Skodas nose if i reject it i suspect as there is loads of demand and it was a very good rate, Skoda customer service have proved useless they blame dealer but they dealer and fleet company have pointed out it generally takes 3 weeks to shop the car and i believe the spec is "locked" a couple of weeks before that when the build date should have been confirmed so even contacting them on the 27th of Oct may not have helped at all. The Dealer are saying it is simply lack of communication from Skoda and is offering free mats. In reality it's probably a mix of the dealer and Skoda at fault. Pics below from the dealer (to convince me not to reject it) for anyone considering which wheels to get on their SE business. Very happy with the Corrida Red, not so much with the wheels! Extras are park assist, colour maxidot and rear crew protection (why should safety features be extra?! pretty morally suspect IMO) Alan
