  1. I bought these springs from this same seller earlier this year for my Octavia III estate and I can confirm they work as expected. Just keep in mind that, as springs are basically a form of "energy storage", the force they release to open the trunk must first be applied by you to the springs (when closing the boot). Since they're quite strong springs, you'll have to apply some extra effort when closing your boot once the springs are in place. Another quick piece of advice, as the price on the ebay page seems high: at almost 53 Euros. I had contacted the seller via his facebook page (www.facebook.com/remote.back.door/) and the cost was 26 EUR (+ shipping) which is half the price listed on ebay (and the same price is listed here in his local classified: https://auto.bazos.sk/inzerat/68234835/Automaticke-otvaranie-kufra.php). So unless something has changed in the quality/type of springs he ships for the Octavia III, you could try to contact him instead of ordering directly via ebay to get a better price.
  2. +1 from me on this request. My 2004 Fabia could do this with an aftermarket alarm installed and I always found it extremely practical to have the windows automatically closing just by locking the car with the FOB remote.
  3. You might also want to check this thread, there's a discussion about a cheaper alternative to the original VCDS which works just as well http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/390570-obdeleven/
  4. If you're looking to find the SKODA OEMs cheaper than at your dealer's, I got them from here -thought they were a good deal at 5.5 EUR each (you'll need 2) + shipping http://skodadop.com/en/yeti-/eksterer-yeti/svetodiodnyj-led-fonar-osvetsheniya-nomernogo-znaka-.html (disclaimer: I've no affiliation whatsoever with that business) They're listed as Yeti/Superb/Rapid compatible but they also fit the Octavia III As reported by previous users, VCDS coding is necessary.
  5. Hello to the community, I've been a lurker on this forum so far, but I felt I needed to share my experience with this OBDEleven dongle + app (PRO license). My Octavia is a MY16 Estate with MIB2 Bolero and everything works like a charm. So far I've enabled the below: - cornering fogs - both rear fog lights - needle staging - hill hold assist timing - change comfort lane change indicator flashes - Automatic DST - Deactivate AM band For 55 Euros the price is unbeatable and unless you need the extended capabilities offered by VCDS you get 95% of the functionalities for a fraction of the price. For any android phone/tablet owner this should be a no brainer.
