  1. Yes, this is what I was told yesterday by Skoda. The letter at the end indicates a newer version of the part number. My 2014 2.0TDi VRS is in the garage at the moment having the water pump replaced due to the same issues everyone else here has been having. Where did you find that part number? Is it printed somewhere easy to see within the engine? I would like to check what part number is on my new one when I get the car back.
  2. I first read this post just after I got my VRS so was a little worried, but driving "quick" I am getting around 53 mpg but if I take things easy then I can easily get into the 60+ mpg. The best I have got on my usual 30 mile commute to work was 67.9 mpg (on the trip computer). Now, I understand that the computer is not accurate, but based on my fill-up calculations, it's actually very close. About -1.5 mpg. Shawn
  3. Had my door seals replaced under warranty last week too. New seals do not trap the water in the door anymore.
  4. My 2014 VRS 184 will take 4 or 5 seconds to start for the first time when the engine is cold. You can hear it trying to turn over and eventually it gets there. I have become used to giving it a little throttle blip when I turn the key and it then always starts straight away. As a side, I have the economy tips turned on and it always tells me not to press the throttle when starting the car! Shawn
  5. Thanks silver1011 abd black_sheep. My cluster did start to mist up quite a bit (especially after I washed the car and rain). I will have a go at removing it again to see if there are any obvious areas where water gets in and then contact the dealer to get them to sort it out. Shouldn't happen on a car that is not 2 years old yet
  6. Octavia VRS 14 plate. Hi all, I was out driving a few days ago when we had some bad weather and drove through a puddle which splashed up over the car. I got a warming on the dash to check the left side daytime running light. Since then it has not worked but the right hand side does work. I noticed that it looked like it flashed on briefly when I unlock the car but it doesn't stay on. What could the problem be? I have checked the best I can for water in the light cluster and it looks dry. I can't see how to access the lights to remove it. Any help would be appreciated before I have to take it to the garage. Thank you, Shawn
