I have have a similar issue that I have now resolved. The twindoor was not fully closing and it appeared the soft close part was not doing its job. I took the trim panel off and found one the multiplug connectors was not in place. Snapping it back in resolved all the issues for me. It had not been working correctly for a while and possibly since I removed the blue protector film from the chrome boot lip cover. I am guessing that may have snagged on the connector. I can now hear the two sets of motors when I shut it from the hatchback position and one motor from the salon position which had not been happening for a while. Prior to looking at that I had had the tailgate wiring loom out to inspect for damage but it appeared intact on mine. Thanks for the steer on where to look. I feared it was going to be expensive to resolve.

I have a 2010 Superb elegance and a Samsung Galaxy A5. I have been having the same issues and have have had an unbelievably frustrating experience in dealing with Vodafone however I appear to have stopped getting the messages by deselecting the SIM access on my phone. I have had such poor service from vodafone that I have now raised a complaint with them. I will try and get the VDC blacklist bit done. Interestingly much better explanation of the issues here than similar topics raised on the vodafone forum.

I have just got a 2010 superb with a columbus unit in it. A few questions I am hoping folks can help with. I cannot get to the secret screen to confirm details of the unit however I have removed the unit and it is marked 3T0 035 680 A. Can someone suggest the best firmware to update my unit. I do not know what it has at the moment but it seems OK with 7 character post codes but not does not like sdhc cards. Where should I look to source up to date maps? many thanks Roy

Thanks for your help, phone now connected, I was trying to do it from head unit and not the steering wheel controls. Is there an idiots guide to the firmware upgrade someone can point me towards? Ta Roy

Just picked up a Superb 2010 CR 140 Elegance Hatch today and I am very pleased with it but I am struggling with the phone / bluetooth. From what I have gleaned so far it has a columbus head unit with a bluetooth module by the drivers seat (part number 3C8 035 730 A) however I cannot find a way of connecting my phone. I scan for devices on my phone and nothing new comes up, and all I can get from the phone menu is either a factory reset or No user connected. Am I missing a trick? Also it will read an SD card but freezes with an SDHC, am I right in thinking a firmware update with resolve this bit. Could someone point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance. Roy
