  1. Apologies for resurrecting this thread. My 2015 Skoda Yeti (Outdoor Se Business Tdi 150 4WD) is coming up to being 1 year old, so will be due its first service soonish. I'm keen to get voice control & Apple CarPlay working, as just now I'm limited to the standard bluetooth/USB connection which requires using the screen or MFD to make calls etc. If I ask my dealer to activate SmartLink (at whatever that costs): (a) Is that possible? ( Will that give me voice control? Or do I need to ask for that separately?
  2. Thanks Urrell. Sounds like I should just go to my local dealer then. I did question not getting the second key, but it had been delayed for some reason, so I had them forward it by post once it arrived. But don't worry, as you suggest, the dealership I bought from have agreed to pay the local dealership, I was simply trying to avoid the hassle of finding a convenient time to have it done!
  3. Hi, I've recently joined the Skoda owner's club back in September with a '65 plate Yeti Outdoor SE 4x4 150psi 2.0 TDI. I've been enjoying my new car but unfortunately it was only supplied with one key. I queried this with the Skoda dealer I bought it from up North and they supplied me with a second key and told me to take it to a local dealer down South (where I'm currently based) to get it programmed. I was curious to see if I could avoid the hassle of taking it to the local dealer. So I tried the new key out and it will manually unlock the door and also start the car (does not trigger immobiliser, but does display "Key Not Found" on the dashboard display), but the remote locking does not work (which I expected to be the case). A friend told me he had previously had success pairing a new key to his Ford so I googled and tried a whole bunch of pairing procedures (mostly some variant of having the old key in the ignition and pressing fob buttons and (un)locking the door manually with the new key), but none of them have worked. Does anyone know if it is possible pair my new key to my car? If so, how? Or am I going to have to pay the local dealer a visit? Cheers!
