  1. I got the 2.0! It made sens as it is a very new engine 2013/2014 with only 18000 miles done! And it has 200 Bhp ! I should get the car back next week and I will update the thread with it s new performance! If to tune up the new engine I think I'll need an upgrade on the clutch as the power will reach 245bhp! Any ideas or thoughts on that as I do have the 4x4 version which as far as I m aware has a special clutch in!?!?!???
  2. Basically the first pic Is how it should look the second is what mine looks( whatever that thing is) , third is mine too!

  4. Thx guys for all the insights! As to the change of details in the log book , the car is still registered in The Uk so I guess I will have to do it there! The new engine arrived today... Is a 2013 with 18000 miles done and costed me 1700 euros +250 labour! Mind you is a school for mechanics garage so labour is cheap! The garage I bought the car from contributed with 1000 pounds as the car is still under the warranty so my bank manager is not going to complain too much! I whish I knew how to post some photos here to show what the garage showed me being wrong with the original engine!
  5. Hi! Maybe someone can help with some advice! Basically I need a new engine( second or recon) after my 1.8 petrol 2011 got damaged and the garage suggested to upgrade to a 2.0 one! The story goes: I bought my Superb 1.8 4x4 2011 about 2 weeks ago! Brought it back to Amsterdam from the Uk. It had 100000miles on the clock with full Skoda dealer service book! Next day I took it in to a chip tuning specialist to have it remapped to try to improve performance and get better mpg. Two days after on the motorway overtaking at 100 mph lost power and a shaking appeared ! Pulled over in about 10 miles at nearest stop! AA comes ...verdict only 3 cylinders working , no compression on no 2! Get to the garage next day they say low compression on all of them! Ok! So new engine needed! The garage gives me the option in the same price to get either an 1.8 or a 2.0 ! What do I do? Is the 2.0 more thirsty? Am I going to put more stress on other car components( turbo, clutch, gear box, etc) ? Please if anyone has a clue help me out! Thx guys!
  6. Hi! Been a Skoda fan for 6 years ! I have owned 3 Octavia and a Superb and driven a Fabia for a while! Hope to get to meet some nice people with the same passion for this car! I live in Amsterdam ! Regards to all! Alex
