  1. Hi All I've heard a couple of people mention that the Superb is noisy on the motorway from wind/tyre noise. Any one have any feelings on noise levels? I'm looking at getting one and will spend my life opn the motorway so would be an issue for me. Unfortunately my local dealer is not close enough to a motorway for me to test the car at speed. Thanks
  2. Thanks Pete, that gives me a better idea of what it looks like, pretty cool by the looks of things, I'm sure it looks much better in the flesh though. Hope you're enjoying the car.
  3. Gizmo, I don't suppose you have a picture of the interior LED lighting? I'd love to see what it looks like and cant find anything online. Also, does the heated windscreen appear totally normal; I had one in a Ford years ago and the windscreen looked slightly odd (i.e. some very feint vertical lines in the glass) - does the glass look 100% normal? Thanks in advance
  4. You can't input a 7 digit postcode? Surely that's a fault with the unit? Please tell me that the unit is supposed to take a full postcode....
  5. Thanks Rick Work just pay all my business mileage so no worries about mpg etc. With my Mazda, I find the diesel economy is pants when doing 75mph, it's only really good at 50/60 mph. Anyway, MPG is not an issue for me. Petrols usually have longer service intervals too which is a win for me. My thinking on the options is as follows:- Electrically adjustable front seats - SE Business Electrically adjustable drivers seat - I wonder if its the same on the SE L? I get a bad back and only want the electric seat for the lumbar support, if electric drivers seat is standard on SE L i cant knock this one off the list Sunroof - always nice but expensive - I just like the look of it and can get it on budget Heated windscreen - Not required IMO - I have lots of early starts and spend 3 months a year scraping the bloody things Black Leather upholstery - Half leather on SE Business or £166 upgrade - Leather is a must for me, I have a 3 year old who likes to decorate the car seats. LED package plus have you seen this in actions? I'm curious to see it but cant find any photos or anything? CANTON sound system - Standard system sounds ok - but high mileage driver you may enjoy this - yep, that was my thinking! Front and rear parking sensors Standard on SE Business - It says only rear are standard on SE L, seems very weird! Rear window wiper - I like the look without - I like to be able to clear the back window. Colour Maxi DOT trip computer - Yes - Sun visors with mirror, illuminated Unless you do your makeup in the car - don't we all darling lol??? seriously though, its included in the LED package Rear backrest release from boot - takes 2 mins for the rare time you use it. I more or less live at B&Q and I can get it in budget so worthwhile for me.
  6. I just really like the look of the sunroof on the hatch, the black roof front looks cool to me. Hopefully it doesn't mean more road noise or anything?
  7. Hi All I'm new to the forum, it's come time to start thinking about my next company car and the Superb has definitely taken my eye. I work as a rep and do 25,000 miles per year, around 20k of which are typically motorway miles. I'm in a Mazda CX5 2.2d AWD at the moment but company car tax costs have rocketed during my ownership so I'm looking for something big which has low company car costs - hence the 1.4. I've had 2 Audi A3's previously (including a 125 bhp 1.4 petrol which I loved). Basically, I want to test drive a 1.4 paired with the DSG in a Superb, 0-60 times seem great but I'm keen to try it out for real but no dealers near me actually has anything other than a 190bhp diesel in. Does anyone with the 1.4 DSG have any comments to either reassure me or dissuade me from getting one? I'm also in two minds about weather to go for the estate or the hatch. In fairness the hatch will have more than enough room but lease costs seem to actually be lower on the estate (but co car tax slightly higher) - both cars will come under my monthly lease budget but i could maybe squeeze an extra option or two onto the estate. I just have to decide which I prefer the look of I guess....then do I go for silver or white - so many decisions!!!! Finally, does anyone here have the SE L Executive spec? I've read on here that some SE Business cars have arrived with unexpected extras - any experiences of extras on the SE L Executive??? My option list will probably be this - would welcome any thoughts on if any of these are a waste of time though Electrically adjustable front seats Sunroof Heated windscreen Black Leather upholstery LED package plus CANTON sound system Front and rear parking sensors Rear window wiper Colour Maxi DOT trip computer Sun visors with mirror, illuminated Rear backrest release from boot Well that's it for my first rambling forum post. Look forward to getting involved on here. Jim
