W-Tron, You didn'y read the post correctly, I will be selling mine shortly, not up for sale yet and yes I will be selling it for £5750. I think its a good price and sorry you paid the same for a a car two years older with much more mileage. Maybe it was you who got robbbed? Also impossible to find one at that price?? Check the for sale board here! If your happy with your car thats great but if you came on here to find if you you got the best price then the truth is probably not. Like the other posters say you need to do your homework and look around, lots of good cars out there and reasonable prices. If you intend to keep the car for a long time then what you paid for it is not an issue as much as it would be if you wanted to change a year or two later.

OK I have a 53 plate which I'm thinking of selling shortly. It has only 27,000 and hyas had a full service in Feb, water pump changed then and so did the cam belt as well. Its in great shape, completly standard with 11 months MOT. If someone offered me £5750 I take it no problem. So so you think I'll sell it? £250 more than yours and newer with half the mileage.

Did you change the water pump at the same time? I changed mine for a metal impeller cause if it the pump goes they have to remove the cam belt and everything just o get at it. I had the cambelt and the water pump changed plus a full service done for £550 at Awsome. oh ya they gave me a trial remap .. I miss it now.

Hi You really should get the timimg belt done at the same time. Amd as the other poster said, get the pump with the metal impeller. This all should set you back about

yep same thing on mine, going to do the cambelt and replace with metal impeller for waterpump. Hope there is no damge to the head already! Anyone had any damage after this type of failure?

This might seem a silly question but how would you know if your engine got too hot after a failure? It seems to me that if there is a water pump failure it sometimes only gets too hot if your travelling fast fast. Keep it under 50 mph and the temperature doesn't go up. What signs are there that the engine has been damaged? Thanks

I wouldn't say mine squeaks and the rattle I get over the speed bump is dimished if you go slowly( very slowly) yeah I know that there for. What kind of common fault are you referring to?

Hello When my 53 VRS goes over a speed bump it sounds like a metallic loose linkage sound as the front tryes hit the normal pavement. Any ideas and cost to fix?? Thanks

so what do the re mappers do that chipboost dont and why is there a price differnce???
