  1. hello forum advice needed please on replacement steel wheels for my wifes fabia 2, 1.2 htp, current alloys and tyres are 195/55/r15s am i right in thinking i can change these to 165/70/r14s as they come up ok on some wheel comparison sites as nearly identical in circumference , we want to order a set of winter tyres on steels and thinking narrow tyres will be far better , amy advice welcome thanks and winter tyre recomendations many thanks
  2. anyone got any good reviews of car supermarkets iam buying an 05 plate diesel from one of 5 at the moment ,prices about the same everywhere, carcraft of newport has the colour i like but some dodgy reviews, any comments on this please, other sites i may use are motorhouse 2000 , the car people / and available cars uk. as always many thanks for anyones useful advice and comments would be most helpful:)
  3. hi would some of you octavia owners give me some feed back on the diesel engines and the mpg figures your getting especialy with the dsg auto gearbox , i know the octavias a great car and am looking to buy one soon but dont know wether to go for the 1.9 tdi manual or the dsg gearbox in the same engine , or the 2.0 heard bad things about this engine on previous threads , is this true . how good is the dsg gearbox worth the extra money. i mainly drive 65 miles a day between 40 and 70 mph and get about 55 to 60 mpg with my peugot 406 hdi thanks for your help , great website you guys have here never seen so much helpfull advice :)
