  1. Sorry for the late reply. This is mine, had a good look over it and there are no screws. I did notice 4 clips. I can release the one in the bottom left corner but there rest.... almost snapped my fingers off lol. Also, there is this pipe/tube next to the oil cap which is connecting from the filter box to the engine. Seems that if I lift the top cover off then this will be coming with it.
  2. If that is the case then I wonder if its more related to the front wheels being rotated? I only say that because last year I had one of the rear tires repaired due to a slow puncture. I remember the guy having a good spin on that one. Never had an issue driving out of there.... then again, I didn't try setting the TPM.... Add to dictionary.... Hoes does the car actually monitor the tire pressure? I only ask because the tires were change on the drive and my drive is on a slope. Just wondering if I need to put it on flat road and then try setting it again.
  3. I had Kwikfit come round this morning to change 2 tires. I had him put the rears on the front and the new ones on the back. Just done a pressure check on the tires and then started the car up and set the TPM. I then started to roll off the drive when alarms went off and warning lights appeared. I flicked the head unit over to the Vehicle Report screen and I saw this. Error: stabilisation control (ESC) Error: Tyre Pressure Monitoring System I drove about half a mile down the road to a carpark and as I drove in the errors disappeared. I parked up and turned the car off, waited for a bit and then turned the car back on. As soon as I did I received a quick flash of an error with the Start/Stop, follow by the 2 errors as above. I Must of drove about 200 meters from the car park and the errors disappeared again. Any ideas as to what's happened?
  4. My first thoughts were the same and thinking they wanted some work out of me but he didn't seem too bothered by it and didn't even try to sell the idea about them doing any work on it. it was more of an FYI and he did seem really friendly. Paranoia started to creep in because when i reversed off the drive this morning I could see 3 small oil patches. Started to ask myself is they were there before or are they fresh! I have checked the space I parked in at work and it was clear so when I drive off tonight I will see if anything is there. I will take a peek at the weekend.
  5. Ok so pretty new to the forums and I have only been driving for 5 years so not the most knowledgeable with cars but learning everyday. Anyway, I have a 14 plate skoda Octavia elegance 1.4, which I brought around this time last year. Yesterday I took the car to get a dsg remap. The garage had the car for a day and when I went to pick it up today, they said they didn't do it. They spoke to shark and shark said there was no point as it was already pretty well optimised and I wouldn't gain anything. I appreciated that he didn't just take my money. Ok so here is my concern. The garage said that I did have a substantial oil leak and also there was an issue with the dampers. Can't remember if he said they were leaking or worn. For the oil, he said they checked the cap and it was sealed tight so it wasn't that. Now, my car had an MOT (first one for the car) done at a local garage (Luton) only a week a go. 3 days later it had a full service done at skoda in Milton Keynes. Car has done 22,000 miles. question, I haven't looked at the issues reported myself but if they are genuine issues, Should they not have been picked up during service/MOT? Just trying figure out if someome was lazy and didn't do their job properly. The garage that found the issues did say they would backup me up if I spoke to skoda in Milton Keynes.
  6. That would be great if you could, cheers.
  7. Newbie question but I don't suppose you can provide any pics on how to change the filter? I had a look the other day and I could see the 2 hoses with the clips but can't see any screws etc to unfasten the airbox. I admit it was only brief look.
