Been away for a few days and checked the mail as soon as I walked through the door. Glad to say my badges were there waiting foreme and look great so thanks. Just a shame it'll probably take me a week before I even get chance to wash my car and clean the wheels to get them fitted! Cheers

Yeah just clicked each vent setting and wait a few seconds before pressing the next one. That sorted it two out of the three times it happened to me. The third time it happened I think I turned it off and back on again and that did it (the fans not the engine). Always semed really random when it happened and always with a long time gap between so I've no faith in the dealer finding anything based on previous experience!

I've had this with my 62 plate a few times now. If I cycle through all the vent settings that normally sorts it straight away. It wasn't anything to do with the dual settings on mine unfortunately but until I can't fix it doing the above I don't want to let anyone loose on it and end up with more being wrong!

Stiff gearchange when cold
Housey80 replied to Ian Octy's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
My 2012 CR estate does this also but gets better as it warms up. I've taken to double clutching and not rushing the changes and that's seems to make it feel much easier. I was hoping that as I'd only had it a month it would bed in and get smoother with a few more miles on it. -
Skoda dealers in Yorkshire area

I tried the dealers in Sheffield, Doncaster & Huddersfield and told them all about the drive the deal price and what I was looking for. Huddersfield beat the drive the deal price (admittedly by only £10) and were just short of CAP value, while the others were a few hundred higher. PM me if you want the salesmans name that I dealt with. -
Is my stealer trying it on?
Housey80 replied to Housey80's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk II (2004 - 2013)
We do have a dog so was looking at either the rubber boot liner like the one you've linked but wasn't sure how easily it might get pulled off by the dog. Think the one you linked will probably.work better and protect the boot. Cheers for the help -

It is for an octavia estate and they quoted me the official skoda part number. Think I'll buy and fit the part myself if they say the same thing tomorrow. Cheers just wanted to check I wasn't missing something. -
I had a call from the dealer to say my car has just arrived and got round to quoting me for a dog guard. Apparently they want £70 for fitting as it gets riveted to the chassis. I just can't see where they do this or am I missing something? Appreciate any advice from others that have fitted one. Cheers Martyn

Hi, I placed an order for a steel grey vrs and getting really impatient with waiting now! It's apparently been sat at Grimsby since the 6th Sep! They must be getting annoyed with me ringing all the time but seen as they can't give me a date I'll keep annoying them! Would be easier if I could.just collect it myself but they'll never go for that.

Hi Phil and welcome. If you haven't already found it I'm sure I saw a buying guide in the octavia section that will help.
