  1. Not quite like for like as the new is a DSG and has full leather seats. Seems smoother but perhaps that may have something to do we me not having to change gears ;-) Most of the miles (almost 1000) have been motorways, so it's almost having to point it in the right direction and occasionally indicate, when using the DSG and ACC. Don't think I am going to miss the extra space of the estate and comparing the two I feel it looks smarter as a hatch. The infotainment is a vast improvement, especially the sat nav and media selection process. All in all, very happy with my selection.
  2. Didn't pay extra, that is how it came. I had not been told of any problems so was not expecting it. Keeping fingers crossed for you.
  3. Thanks so much for bringing this to my attention. My new Superb arrived on Friday and the lease company never checked the state of the tow ball when the old one went back. As a result I now have my high-tech solution ready to install. I opted for the colour co-ordinated option to match the car Not towing for a while, so hopefully this will save some time, when I am ready to use it.
  4. Thanks Jeff Normally only around early and late a few days a week. Occasionally I have a local day, so you may be lucky ;-0 Other days like last Wednesday can be a bit more hectic. Home to Montgomery, Aberystwyth, Kinighton and then back home. About 350 miles and just over 9 hours driving. I would love to add to the spec but hey would all be extra cost to me. The Superb is already the best company car I have ever had and already converted one other member of the sales team to have one. The standard used to be a Ford Focus estate but this has now been changed to the Superb.
  5. Picked up my new Superb yesterday and decided to fill the tank on the way back home. As a company car driver with a fuel card I was asked the registration xx18 xxx and then the mileage so replied 121. I got a confused look and was then asked 'Is that 121,000?' This was in contrast to when I got my Superb estate two years ago. It was the end of March and when I gave my registration xx16 xxx they gave me a look to say Oh a new car. When they asked for the mileage I said 1700. Their reply was 'Oh that's a lot in a month' so I told them that I picked it up on the 11th, so had only had it a couple of weeks. They looked even more surprised. This made me wonder what reactions other people had got.
  6. The old and the new. More to follow when the weather improves.
  7. No longer driving the Skoda Superb Estate. Replaced today by a SE Tech Hatch 2.0 TDI 150 PS DSG in black, with heated front seats, windscreen, washers, rear LED lights, rear view parking camera, integrated tow bar, rear wiper and multi function steering wheel with paddles.
  8. Getting mine tomorrow :-) Photos to follow. Had end of lease inspection on the 2L 150bhp SE Business combi today (2 years old and 74000 miles) and it's being collected and replaced with a 2L 150bhp SE Tech DSG hatch which should have about 75 miles on the clock when it's delivered to the office tomorrow morning.
  9. It's a company car and a lot of my accounts are stored on it. I would say at least a hundred. The trouble is that the postcodes are not always accurate and it's the saved locations that I need. I plan to call Skoda Customer Services to see if the car is on its way, so will ask them. I did ask the dealer but they didn't know and said they would get back to me but not had a reply.
  10. New Superb arriving early next month and I am trying to find out how I can move my stored locations over to the new car. Has anyone managed to do this?
  11. I will be getting a replacement for my 2016 Superb estate, in about a months time. It is due to be built next week :-) After having battery issues, I will be making sure that the dash cam is wired to the fuses in future. It does not seen to take much top tip the battery over the edge. I agree that it is very strange that they stay live even when the car is switched off and left parked.
  12. Thanks for all your help. Not had a problem since but will look at your suggestions.
  13. I am after a bit of advice please. Back in the summer, we were at Fairford for the air show and left the car next to the caravan for a few days. On the first day we were told that the alarm had gone off but everything was fine and didn't think anymore about it. When we tried to start the car the following day it would not start and called Skoda Assist who came out. Then a week ago, when the car was parked outside the house for a couple of days and not used, the battery was again flat. The AA came this time and tested the battery and said it failed, so Skoda Assist booked it in to have the battery replaced by the local dealer. Took the car in as arranged and after about an hour they said the car was ready. On speaking to the guy on the service desk, he tells me that they had tested the battery and found no faults. He then says that it is difficult to get hold of a replacement battery, even though they had said they had one at the start and that it is difficult to get Skoda to authorise a replacement. The car is 20 months old with 63000 on the clock. His comment was that I had a lot plugged into the cigarette lighter. I have a dash cam and two leads for mobile phones, which are only ever used when driving. So his suggestion was to avoid using the chargers / dash cam and see if it happens again. I told him that it already had. Well today, I drove from home to the office (40 min) and then to my first appointment (2 1/2 hours) and then to my second appointment (30 min). Once I had finished this call I got back in the car to catch up on emails and phone calls only to get a message to say the battery was low. It would not start first attempt but managed it second time. Was then OK for the rest of the day. For those with a more technical background, do the dash cam and chargers drain that much from the battery and is this a battery issue or am I doing something wrong? Any help would be appreciated.
  14. Sorry for the late reply but not on here often. I would contact them and see what they say.
  15. It's a company car on a two year lease. No issues at all and Skoda were really good about it. They told me that the dealers had to look at it within two days but I had it repaired and returned within three.
  16. March 11th 2016 29,000 miles Still on original tyres, just! Recently had front offside wheel bearing replaced but apart from that all is fine. Car taken away on Monday morning and returned on Wednesday evening with a 66 plate Merc C220 AMG as a loan car :-) Great service from Driverline and my local dealer.
  17. Nor did I, not that I need one. Towed for the first time last week and it was simple and easy. Great car to tow with.
  18. I had the exact same one fitted to my Mondeo and it was excellent, although a little difficult to get on and off from time to time. Had to pay up front for that one and have it fitted myself but with the S3, I was allowed to spec it, so only paying a small amount each month on a 2 year lease. The factory fitted tow bar is so easy, I cant see me going back to anything else now.
  19. Just checked mine, also around 3000 miles and it seems fine, although it is business grey and not white. Thanks for posting, will watch out when cleaning the car.
  20. I wanted to add a spare wheel and was told the same. Although they did say I could buy it at an additional £60 on it's own!
  21. My SE Business estate made a flying visit there on the 6th but it's a Business Grey.
  22. Will be bringing my SE Business over for a flying visit in the next couple of months. Will keep an eye out for you.
