  1. Hi folks, I have a 2008 Fabia 2 tdi sport which has started playing up. Firstly the drivers electric window started juddering and taking ages to creep upwards mm at a time. I read on here to lube the runners and guides with ptfe spray, so did that and sorted it out great. Even the one press closing worked, but if i one press close it as soon as the window is fully closed it automatically locks all the doors and lights up the lock switch in front of the gear lever??? Wasnt a problem so lived with it. Today went to work as usual and went to lock it with remote fob but wouldnt lock. Thought it must be duff batteries in my fob so locked it on key and went to work. Came out after work and the fob wont unlock the car at all and managed to set alarm off by unlocking with key and opening door. Put keys in ignition and turned on to kill alarm and drove home. When i got home I went into house and got spare key fob, it will lock the car but not unlock it and now im clueless! Any ideas why it will lock but not unlock????? Cant be a fob based problem as both wouldnt stop working at same time would they??? Any ideas guys?? Thanks in advance Wayne
  2. Hi y'all, just joined the forum as have bought an 08 Fabia TDI Sport 105 PD engine. Commuting from Barnsley to Leeds for work and went looking at a 55 Fabia VRS but spied this further down the lot and was sold on it for an extra £200 over the VRS. Going to get the cambelt kit and water pump done soonest as it is due, so if any recommendations on best place to get genuine kits from it would be much appreciated. Also ordered a pair of Kumho winter tyres as its gonna be a bad un they say this year.
