Hi mate can you confirm if you have the power steering pipe from the pump to the rack and if so how much? YOU POST SAID 315 each with 7 posyage but there is only one of these pipes, where you referring to the regulators? many thanks Pete

Hi Folks, I have an 03 1.8 tdi 130 bhp Octavia. She is great but her power steering pipe from the pump to the rack is leaking. Does anyone know where I can get one locally (not for silly money) or have a used one I can use the fitting off to get a new hose made up? I am also looking for a new drivers side front wing in black. Diolch Peter

Hi Folks, Advice for a newbie would be most appreciated . My power steering pipe from the pump to the rack is leaking. I assume I need a new one soon rather than using some sort of mastic sealant or other crap on it like I have seen "quality engineers" do in some part of the third world Craig from Listers, was kind enough to quote for one which is £185 incl vat but it is a factory back order. Surely there must be a cheaper option which members have discovered ? One option is ebay where I saw one for about £100 but can any one rate these ....? I read the thread from Skodaphobe about getting a local company to make one for £35. MY garage mate says he can get the pipe but, it is the fitting either end which is the bggr. Happy Xma folks, it is indeed the PD 130 , Power steering pipe from the pump is leaking so will need one of those soon but apart from that she goes like a dream

Hi Folkks said hello couple of weeks ago but then my access to the site went George Osbourne. ANY WAY I got me a 53 Octy elegance with electric sunroof and a small ding in the drivers side for £650 FSH cambelts done and full set of new tyres !! Ding dong I thought !!! Took it to the garage for a check up and the only things wrong are a new brake cable needed and the power steering pressure pipe from gear box to the rack has started to weep. I did see a thread on here about discounted parts. However, this was on my tablet and when I logged in on my PC to find it I couldn't. Would anyone just happen to have a spare one they don't need? Also need a driver side wing in black. Apart from that I am having a great time enjoying the Octy experience. She replaced my Audi Quattro 250 with 180bhp which died of gearbox failure and as she was an 02 plate I couldn't justify £1800 on a recon box so she went for parts. The Octy it of a change and a lot cheaper to run and I am enjoying the manual box and her surprising torque. What a lot of car for the money, looking forward to taking her on tour Pete62
