  1. Happy to report the safe arrival of my new 2.0TDI 150 DSG SE Tech hatch in Quartz Grey. (Standard specification except for wiper and spare wheel) which replaces my Superb3 2.0D DSG SE Business estate. Although the trim etc the same, quite a few technology enhancements - Amundsen is lots better - touch screen actually works well. Hasn't realised the 150D now has Ad blue and 7spd instead of 6. Engine noticeably quieter. Build quality seems better although squeaky seat/centre console bit annoying Bought on Personal Contract Hire direct from Lightcliffe Warrington (a much better experience than previous from Lookers Stockport)
  2. Mine (DSG on 17") is probably too new to get any meaningful info on it. But on Sunday, did a quick trip to Ikea, about 30 miles each way on the motorway, On the way there, drive mode in sport and no ACC = 43mpg (maxidot). Return journey, similar volume of traffic, etc, drive mode in individual (eco-box, sport steering) and used ACC all the way, jumped to 49mpg.
  3. £450 on SE Business for Pegasus (or in my case, an extra £16.67 a month)
  4. I did wonder that. I'm sure I'll get used to it, but just feels wrong.
  5. Possibly the thing I like least about my car. Have I got the wrong glass in my driver's door mirror? It's completely flat, where as every other car I've driven for years has had some sort of curve on the edge to help you eliminate blind spot on the drivers door. I just wondered if the factory had given me a mirror/glass for a left-hand drive car.
  6. Because I've got mine on a 2-year personal lease, adding in lots of options to my SE Business would have pushed the bargain monthly price up significantly, so I just went for DSG and a spare wheel. (I had real bad luck with tyres on my last car) I wish though that I'd had blind-spot as finding the mirrors quite poor. And better wheels. The Helios are ok, but I passed a same-colour Superb yesterday and thought how much better it looked with Pegasus.
  7. Delivered today 2.0D SE business DSG estate in petrol blue, standard spec except for a spare wheel.
  8. So, finally, after a lot of grief and just plain unacceptable customer service from Skoda UK and the dealer, I have my Superb. My first and last Skoda. Ordered 1st December, delivered 14th April, 6 weeks later than the day I needed it and was promised it. It's a Petrol Blue 2.0 SE Business DSG estate, with a spare wheel (that's all). Just done a few miles and seems decent. Particularly like the gearbox; very smooth. I'll be sure to report back when I've had a good play around with it.
  9. My SE Bus should be with me on Thursday (but not holding my breath) and also on a PCH. It's coming from Lookers Stockport. I ordered start of December and the finance docs were exactly as quoted.
  10. Because it's an SE Business (like mine) = less profit for Skoda = tiny margins for the dealer = less customer care = if you cancel, someone else will snap it up. Or is that just me being cynical?
  11. Apparently, it is on the back of a transporter somewhere between the docks and Stockport. I've never felt less like a valued customer in my life. I get better customer service/care buying a £2.99 Happy Meal than I do buying at £25,000 car. Buying a car should be a pleasure, it always has been in the past. "What do you want me to do about it" attitude from everyone you speak to. Rant Over. And chill.
  12. Thought I was getting mine on Saturday. Call from the dealer to say not. Despite promise from Skoda UK that it will be delivered to them today, another let down. "Should maybe" be delivered to dealer tomorrow. Been in the UK since 22nd March. So may have it later next week. Absolutely fuming.
  13. More disappointments. Mine arrived in the UK on 22nd March, and is still sitting at the entry port. Spoke to Skoda UK, who couldn't have been less interested. They promised a call back by 3:30 today (it's now 4:30 and nothing). Just hope it really is worth the wait, and the hassle.
  14. Weds morning was driving up A38 near Toyota and passed a transporter full of Superbs heading south. Alas, for me me at least, there were no blue ones on it :-(. But hopefully many people will now be getting theirs very soon. Then that same afternoon, my dealer rang me to say that mine was now in the UK, reg number allocated and docs in the post. Finally!!
