  1. Hey! Im due for an MOT next month and I've got around 58K done on the clock. It'll probably be 59K by the end of this month, so wouldn't be far off 60K miles. It would also be around 4 years since it was last changed Also, which brand should I get? On carparts4less, I see the brands Ina, ContiTech and Drayco Car is "Green Skoda Fabia SE TDI (90) 2011 1.6L 1600cc Diesel CR Hatchback" I've seen this on eBay. Would this do? Brand New Dayco High Tenacity Timing Belt Kit Set Part No. KTB788 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/351674177023 Not sure if it has the waterpump though? ^ I just rang em up. They said that would do - I gave em my registration. They said Id have to buy the waterpump seperately though! Is this a good shot for the HEPU waterpump? Part No.: 201440422 http://www.carparts4less.co.uk/cp4l/c/Skoda_Fabia_1.6_2011/p/car-parts/car-cooling-parts-and-car-heating/cooling/water-pump-gasket/?201440422&1&d3b528fd99bb0d6e7bfd1458220986b6e4894974&000366
  2. Oops sorry I've posted in the wrong section. I'll go ahead and post the right section

  4. Hi Sorry I didnt see this. I'm not sure how much current the Mobius even carries tbh
  5. I do drive some four hours each way, once a month though! But there are lots of little journeys in between... The light seems to come on like two days before Im going up north.. Kinda annoying Tbh, this being said, I may well just go ahead, get it MOT'd next month, get the cambelt in, and sell it, because I do miss driving my hybrid, so I may well get a 2008+ Prius, that's done just a little over 100K and with a FSH - the rational being that if it's FSH it should have had its 100K service. Not exactly had this Skoda for long either!
  6. Hmm that could be why my DPF keeps coming on... ie: going to work takes me around 10 minutes or so... So Im confused now Should I do 50-60Mph in 4th gear or 70Mph in 5th? - both between 1500 and 2200 RPM?
  7. Thanks - sorry for the late reply!! Im not so sure how to get this stuff out. There's a reason why my username says "noob"
  8. Hey So I travel once/month to the north and back (460 mile round trip) I also do a 12 mile round trip, to work and back, and usually some 2 mile round trip to Subways and back... Any way, it seems that once/month the DPF light comes on, so I head up on the M4 The thing is.. the manual says do 60Km/hour (40Mph) in the third/fourth gear betweeen 1500 and 2200 RPM If I head on to a motorway, would it not perhaps be wise to do 70Mph, and keep it in 5th gear, until the light goes away? I've just given it a run before.. I've also bought some DPF cleaner.. I dont know if it will help. Might be snake oil stuff... Who knows.
  9. Thanks Truth is.. Im not sure what one I require (I believe you can use both sizes) You can also get it in 2 amp, all the way to 20 amp. Should I just go for 20 amp?
  10. I tried telling my colleagues that the Skoda is just a cheaper VW Golf, they didn't take too kindly to that But hey their loss, not mine!
  11. Hey all, As per my thread here: http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/380508-12v-socket-is-always-on-skoda-fabia-ii/page-2 Im looking to get a Piggy back/add a fuse thingy (well two) for two dash cams that I intend to wire in to the car, so I can make it a "switched live" setup Does any one know which one I should get? Thanks
  12. Hey all, Just to find out what the possible causes are for this • Sometimes my windows just..open (At first I could put this down to accidentally have sitten on the key to open the windows) • When driving, my car showed the little light that's normally there for when a door is a little open • This can sometimes come on, when I press the clutch or the brakes Im not quite sure why this would be the case? Also, would this be covered under warranty usually? I have it with the RAC Thanks
  13. Hi, So Im looking for two "add a fuse" things or "piggyback" things, but not sure what to get? Would two of these be OK? http://www.amazon.co.uk/Add-A-Circuit-Fuse-Holder-Standard-20amp/dp/1550063146/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1456194248&sr=8-3&keywords=Add+a+fuse
  14. SO I had my car stereo installed, but still "need" the dash cam setting up I guess. I'll post a bit more detail on that shortly
  15. If it does need that, Ill put in a new one tbh. , and I guess I left it a LITTLE too late. I noticed, I was doing around 2200 RPM doing 70Mph (straight; no traffic) on the motorway. But hey Id like to think a 460 mile round trip is decent enough for the DPF!
