  1. The dealer I spoke too said they had received a notification from Skoda saying there is a problem with scratching of the disks, he said the remedy was to clean the brake pads and the braking function isn't affected. I questioned that saying "how are they dirty on the both sides scratching the same pattern into the disk?", to which the conversation moved to suggesting it the ESP which I don't buy for second. I rang Skoda customer care line to see if they knew details of the dirty pads notice, and they haven't had anything reported on the vehicle. I've got a dealer nearer to work who have previously seemed more reliable in my experience, so I'll pop in there this week and see what they say.
  2. My rear disks are completely shot after 9 months and 17k miles. Mostly motorway miles too. I took it to the dealer yesterday who said it was dirt, or the esp, anything really apart from the electric brake sticking on which I would think is the main suspect. The fronts however look like they've just come out of the factory, so there's something not right. Mines also accompanied by thudding coming from the rear axel, they belive it be a knackered wheel bearing. Its due its first service in another 1,900 miles so I think there's a lot of work to be done. **edit - this is a l&k 150 manual
  3. In the car settings, you can change the vechicle to left hand drive and it works perfectly well, I can't remember the exact menu, I'll check in the morning and get back to you. I did a lot of motorway miles on the continent no issues at all. Acc is limited to 100 mph and the radar braking worka well evwn at that speed just an FYI
  4. 49.8mpg 4003 miles driven average speed of 41 mph. Driving 1400 miles on the continent i averaged 50.5, average speed of 69 mph, that includes a significant amount of autobahn action
  5. My Columbus system has an issue of dropping Bluetooth connection when on calls. They same with both an android and windows phone. My friend experiences exactly the same thing with his new Passat, which may be a coincidence or a problem with the VAG software. Anyway my cars booked in for the 26th, they've promised to reload the Columbus software, I don't know if there is a patch that's been released
  6. I've had my L&k estate 150 tdi since the 4th december, just over 4,000 miles driven, averaging 50mpg since receiving the car. Nice and comfortable and eats the miles. Overall a lovely car, but there are niggles. I have a rattle around the steering column/ dash, a wonky glove box lid, bluetooth dropping quite regularly, rough patches on the steering wheel which seem to be deteriorating quickly and a sensor error for the back right tyre pressure monitor. Its booked in for 26th, my second attempt after having my original appointment with the dealer cancelled for the 6th. Hopefully my little problems can be sorted and then it'll be perfect
  7. A long time lurker but now I've got my car I'm taking the plunge and signing up so hi all. I had mine delivered today, trailered form Doncaster to Manchester this morning. L&K Estate 150 Manual, in Brilliant Silver, Brown Leather Interior. Extras of Smart Light Assist (does look very smart when lit up) and sign recognition thing as I'll be driving a lot of business miles on roads I'm not familiar with and can do without getting zapped by speed cameras. My order was placed 20th September with an original delivery date of week 2 2016, but received a call saying it was ready last week so all in all a 10 week wait. Not managed to drive much of it at all yet, though I will be travelling to Germany and back next week, a 1400 mile round trip so I think I'll have a more rounded picture then.
