  1. Snap Pusscat, I also thought of a Pink Screwdriver
  2. As sombody mentioned it was also a fault with Audi TT's I did a search. I came up with this, found it very interesting. http://www.tt-forum.co.uk/ttforumbbs/viewtopic.php?t=56067 It seems Audi are now refunding all the customers who have had faulty pods. As Skoda is part of the VAG group wondered if maybe we should fight it to.
  3. I am having the same problem to. Mine is also a 1999 reg, but a 1.6 glxi model. At 1st it was very intermitant, but then it was off more than on. I thought this last week it had totally gone dead, but today they flashed up briefly again :s
  4. right for me to, I'm a Christian. Your views are most similar to those of Christianity. Do more research on Christianity and possibly consider being baptized and accepting Jesus, if you aren't already Christian. Christianity is the second of the Abrahamic faiths; it follows Judaism and is followed by Islam. It differs in its belief of Jesus, as not a prophet nor historical figure, but as God in human form. The Holy Trinity is the concept that God takes three forms: the Father, the Son (Jesus), and the Holy Ghost (sometimes called Holy Spirit). Jesus taught the idea of instead of seeking revenge, one should love his or her neighbors and enemies. Christians believe that Jesus died on the cross to save humankind and forgive people's sins.
  5. Has No-body ever had this fault then ,. Just concerned incase I need to take either one back. I didn't know if anything in the pc could cause interference, or if anyone knew of a fault with the card, or anything else to try. Next option is to try the speakers all on the tv/ dvd player.
  6. On Thursday I fitted a new soundcard in my pc ( its sound blaster live 24 bit 7.1 one ). I also bought & fited a new speaker set, a 5.1 surround with a amp, it was all pc compatible, wired up fine & the sound is great, but I keep getting bad interference on the sound, really buzzy like the speakers are gone, then it goes back fine. i don't even need to be near the pc for it to alter . the wire are all firmly in ( unless its the ones that clip into the speakers ), the sound distorts through all of the speakers to. it is all set up for 5.1 sound. the speaker check is fine, all speakers work in turn. It happens on both cd, media player & online streaming, can go a hourish without happening again, or can be only a few mins then fine for ages. Anybody any ideas on what the problems can be. I have done the full check of the soundcard & that all comes back fine.If I pause the sound through the pc the sounds stops, both the interference & the normal sound.
  7. All my lads have been involved in the Scouts, youngest is now a Cub, eldest is still a Scout ( but really getting ready to leave as he is to old, should be going to explorers ), but He loves to help out with the Beavers & Cubs to, as a Junior leader. I think it really does them good. We have a girl in our scout troup & so does another troup local to us. they have fun to. I feel its a shame some parents seem to not support their children in it though, happy for them to go, but not stay & support them at things like go-cart comps., I am all to happy to muck in, take photo's ( of mine & all the group ), bring extra safety gear & the like. I to went through the Brownies, Girl Guides & Girls Brigade.
  8. I have a folding camper & its so easy to tow ( you forget its there, esp. on motorways), got my best fuel economy towing back from Anglesey, North Wales ( takeing it easy as was bad weather & late of av. 40mpg ), i have a 1.6 Glxi Octy estate, full of 3 children & all the stuff . I am also a member of the camping & caravanning club, its great fiun, cheap & the lads love it to, ( well most of the time ).The folding camper is also easy to store, but if you are used to towing ( sounds like you are ), & have the room for a caravan I know I would prefer a caravan, but the newer folding campers are lovely to.
  9. I admit doing an advanced driveing course definatly improved my driveing. It made me aware of more hazards & I would definatly recommend it to anybody. I now drive faster & with more confidence on for example country lanes. take corners better to, a safe driver is not allways the slowest, they can cause hold ups & frustrate others, nor the fastest who takes risks, its the speed you feel is most appropriate for the conditions, e.g its ok to go slower down a lane & enjoy the scenary, but it would be wrong if you were hindering any other traffic, weather & other factors permitting of course. I did not do the advanced exam as I had got what I needed out of the course. This said, I still make mistakes, & am weaker in some areas than others.so would put my self as just above average, but not enough to say really above as other areas are prob. below, e.g reverse parking I just don't do, but i intend to practice, same as reverseing with a trailer.
  10. I sometimes wake in the night, I tend to come down, grab a coffee & come on the net for a hour or so, I can then settle back off. I sleep at funny times though due to my ME, but sometimes I am fine, May go & get a nod now, am shattered & all my lads are out.
  11. I think its fab . esp. love the routeplanner bit with all the roads on .
  12. I was thinking the same, allways led to beleive 0845 was local call rate to. The thing that bugs me is not on the charge of these calls, its the fact you can't just ring your local branch to check things, eg. your local store if they have got something in stock, it's all this press 1 for bla bla & 2 for x, really bugs me, takes far longer & it a waste of time.
  13. :grouphug:, Sorry to hear that Vikki, It must be devastating news whether you are in a relationship or not as it is long term I presume. You will prob. be in shock at the mo. But saying that there are alot of people who are childless & are happy. there are options out there, & when the time comes & you are settled hopefully you will be happy, as has been said in time you may have other options. May i wish you all the best for your health & future :grouphug:
  14. Well talk about single minded, Not all of us are desperate for a S**g , some of us chose to be single, its better beiing stuck with somebody so you can get some, I am single, I am also my own boss
  15. I have a feeling the ones that plug into the 12v socket in the car have more power, I have a dirt devil one with a light on, works fine, but when i do a proper clean i just run the extension out & use my Purple Animal
  16. Oh dear, sounds like somebody is very very sad
  17. I knew I wanted a estate car, I was looking for a astra estate to be honest,( my last car was a astra & i was happy with it, it just wasn't estate ) I had been looking for nearly 12 months ( & the longer I looked the more I saved ). I knew I wanted air con, I didn't want a base model, I wanted soemting decent. I then came across this octy, I liked it, it fitted the bill, plus my brother had got one & loved his,Also being abit larger than the astra was a plus to. Also this site played a large part in it, I knew any problems & I had so may people on here with all their info, now that was just great. got my Bro. to check it & it was fine so bought it. Since them my parents have also bought a new octy estate, we love them.
  18. I'm 33 & single, but I have 3 lads, 8,12 & 14. I also live north west, But am Female
  19. We bought a decent 2 way one for my youngest, It was just a car seat, but as it was 2 way meant it was suitable from birth until about 5. It did seem expensive, but if you think about how long they last then its worth it, I liked it as you could alter the postion of the seat, so even when they were older than 9 months & facing forward if he was asleep I could lie him back abit. It was Britax Club class extra, but it is going back a few years, he is now 8 1/2 years old. Also think about what sort of pram is likely to be best, there are different sorts from lightweight, to larger wheeled softer ones, they can often be reversed for forward & rearward facing, diff postions for each age. They ideal for more walking stuff, but no good if she has to get a bus, you may decide to buy a couple of prams as the child gets older. There are alot of different options, as has already been said a pram with a car seat that fits it will only last untill the child is around 9 months old, so you would need another car seat then ( the pram will last longer ).
  20. Well I found 2 of them funny , bet you can guess which to though . I am not in the position to have any help from any male ( I have 3 lads, but they don't allways do alot, they don't tend to see it, I am trying on them though ).Men & lads mostly seem to be blind to stuff unless asked directly, & even then it can be very reluctant. I do beleive all men should Have to have a day, or even longer looking after the house & children, I honestly don't think men realise how much actually needs doing, we don't all sit on our bums & watch daytime tv . its the case esp. if the lady goes to work, it should be split 50/50. if she stays at home then of course she should do more, its right. but men are part of the household, & with it comes responsibilitys, it doesn't take alot, just some help without being asked is more likely to be appreciatted than doing something after being nagged.
  21. I don't get here often these days, so only just seen this post & seen the post relating. I hope your son went on ok yesterday, heart murmurs can be innocent, & not cause a problem, my eldest has this sort. Its tough when we find another problem with our childrens health, esp. if at times they have already had a rocky ride, but its still scary for all concerned. Sorry to hear your wife has been so poorly, at least it is treatable, you have each other, it sounds like its gonna be a rocky ride, but together you will get through it.I really hope she can get it sorted without to much pain {{ Hugs }}
  22. I to signed up with them a few months ago, I has helped alot. Still get thos automated ones though :thumbdwn:
  23. Take no notice of her, it would be boring if we were all a perfect 10 ( I know I am not ). If you want to lose weight, it has to be up to you. Try not to let it get on top of you, she seems a right snotty B*tch. I could do with losing a few stones, but what the heck, I am still me whatever size.
