You ought to think yourselves lucky.............. Over here in Canada they (the Polis) hide behind cars and trucks and pop out last minute to nab ya, quite often in places where going slightly over the limit is easy to do (like on a downhill stretch)......... Lucky i only have a small vehicle incapable of doing silly speeds!

You should be able to buy it at any decent outdoor shop too if your local pharmacy doesn't stock! Us climbers use it a lot for strapping pulled tendons and the like...... the better stuff doesn't move about either when you get 'sweaty'..... Good luck with the hunt!

IIRC its usually around the forests of Cumbria. I certainly remember watching it a few years ago in Whinlatter near Keswick, and its been to Grizedale Forest before too.....
