  1. Hi, sorry maybe went off on a bit of a tangent, was just recommending the full front wiper set from bosch (ie both wipers and adapters) and noting the required part number in case anyone needed it.
  2. Yep I just got Bosch Aero ones too, it was set A556S for the front 2 and fit fine. Found out why my original ones were squeaking too as the rubber had split on one. Anyway got a set from ebay at 17.75 which i thought wasnt bad.
  3. it was 109 for the a/c and brake fluid combined, so 378 total.
  4. Seems like a decent price, I just got the 40k done at the main dealer for 269 with spark plugs (on flexible servicing) , also got the brake fluid and a/c regas done and a free MOT. Only really went main dealer so I could get a warranty job done too but it was nice to get a free wash and vac.
  5. yeah I haven't got one either, the dealer told me they were phasing them out however as mine is a 14 ex demo I reckon they actually just lost it along with the handbook. I was told you can order one from skoda if you want.
  6. mines the same, also happened on my old Octavia Sport, seen it mentioned on here for other Rapids too - planning on getting it fixed at the 1st service which is due shortly.
  7. I've not kerbed mine yet, 12,000 miles and 7 months so far....shouldn't have said that should I....
  8. Looks good, will be fitting mine in the next couple of weeks, hoping they're easier to fit than my old thule ones were.
  9. beginning to think I should have gone for the 85hp version, there's no way I'd get 600 miles out of mine, I refuel around 460-470 when the light comes on. That's 50 motorway miles commute in some queueing traffic and a pretty light right foot.
  10. My ex demo had the brake problem, it is indeed caused by standing and pads imprinting on the discs, it caused bad judder on braking. Eventually got my front discs and pads replaced under warranty which fixed the issue but be careful there's a 6 month cut off from new for Skoda paying. I had a real tussle with the dealer I bought from despite me raising the issue on the test drive several times and taking back within a week because it was 7 months old by then and basically the dealer would have to pay.
  11. going to get mine from here....seems quite a good saving even with delivery. http://skodadop.com/en/rapid-/eksterer-rapid/poperechiny-na-kryshu-original-skoda-rapid.html
  12. have had a few fabias, got an octy II when the kids arrived and now a rapid - I would say the rapid build quality is not up there with the octavia but boot size is and price is significantly below plus there's more leg room in the back but it does feel narrower inside, fine with 2 in the back though. I was after a low mileage nearly new car with warranty as I do lot of miles so the rapid made sense to me.
  13. Agreed, I'm getting around 43 mpg on average though I hit a lot of traffic on my commute, have seen indicated 50 but it soon drops back with hills or traffic. Its not bad for a petrol but you do need a light right foot, and as soon as you press on the mpg falls through the floor. Maybe the tyres do make a difference too as I can't see I'd ever get near the 52 average.
  14. not noticed this on mine, will give it a go tonight
  15. Ah thanks didn't realise you could get them, would like to get the bag hooks too but can't see how you'd fit them on the notchback...may take a look at the weekend.
  16. Yeah its weird also not as bad today as its warmed up a bit...will probably monitor it and wait till its in for its first service and report back then, thanks
  17. Bought 2 of these from ebay for the boot, seem to work well just wished they'd put the boot compartment dividers in as standard as on my old octavia, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251740404666?_trksid=p2059210.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  18. On my moto g I have to start playing music on it first before I can select the Skoda-BT option on the media button, have you tried that? I use the google play app which seems to work fine.
  19. Hi, anyone had any problems with cold draughts from around the lower drivers door area? Never had any thing like this on previous cars but unless I stick the heater on feet all the time my right leg is freezing. Had a glance over the door seals which appear in tact but look pretty puny compared with my old octy, so could be that I suppose. Will prob get it back to the dealers sometime but would like to be able to pinpoint the problem myself, and interested if anyone else has it? Great car otherwise...

  21. I have seen them in the tour and I must say I like it.
  22. bought a set of these for the octy last week and am very impressed. Thanks to those who posted pics on here as well. - they really do look like tints and have the added attracttion that they're easily removed if required and do a great job of keeping the sun of our little one. Cost for the hatch was 120 quid delivered and the service from OE sunshades was excellend too. Recommended.
  23. I've got a 2.0d sport and think its great. Its a good alternative to the diesel VRS so long as you can get a hefty discount - list price you may as well get a VRS. I came from a mapped fabia vrs needing extra room and the octavia delivers massive amounts of room and the 2.0d is faster than my standard fabia to boot. The ride can be firm with the sports suspension but is more than made up for by the precise handling. As for wind noise I've not noticed any. The only thing I hear is tyre noise which I guess is a consequence of the low profile tyres. 14k sounds reasonable - I paid 13k for a delivery mileage 3mths old pre-reg though that seemed well below other main dealer cars.
  24. having the first service today after 18500 and 1 year 3mths. Mainly motorway driving in rush hour traffic.
  25. my indicator has just come on 1000 miles to go with 17500 on the clock
