I wouldn't bother with car play, you can just stream the music by Bluetooth. I only ever have nav screen on anyway. Still get wheel controls via Bluetooth as well.
-
I was tempted to go with revo but admiral wouldn't insure a remap so gonna leave it till next year and shop around for someone who will at a reasonable figure. 300bhp is just to tempting lol

I just use music streaming service on my phone connected by Bluetooth, can get pretty much anything I would want to listen to. Even tunes from the 70's lol

What detailing products have you bought today...
mk3vrs replied to BTS22's topic in Styling and Car Care
That's the last wax I bought a week ago, awesome stuff spreads really thin and beads lovely...you should love it. -
Dealership is just saying you will need to clear the negative equity, you may break even early which would allow you to change without any extra payment. Failing that try another dealer, they may swallow the neg if your ordering a brand new one.

Don't want to go the Life Shine route again!

Thanks, all done by hand as well no machine polished. If you get the clay mit you may be surprised how smooth your paint already is but worth doing. -

Yeah that's the one, couldn't remember exactly which one and couldn't be bothered to go garage. I liked it, goes alon way so don't need to use loads. I like the idea of it giving up to 6 months protection so should keep my 5 or so hours cleaning better longer. I was a bit unsure on the wax, it was the most expensive one they recommended but glad I went for it, for that 40 he said you should get about 18 applications. -

Have mine a good going over yesterday (1300 miles on clock) Steps I took 1 snow foam 2 megs gold class wash with sheepskin mitt 3 clay mitt (dipped in left over gold class) 4 autoglym super resin polish 5 britemax sealant 6 britemax vantage wax Probably get everything you need above for £100 (inc towel and applicators) and I'm more than happy with results. Sealant should last 3-6 months they said, so same again mid-end of summer. Was raining when I finished so got a few early beading photos and it seems to bead very well. -
Agreed only other colour I would choose is rallye green, the more I see it the more I love it

1 month in...loving it, except for the damn rattles!

Standard 18in...I must be the only person here that doesn't like the look of the extremes lol Wheels shouldn't make a difference really, if it's rattling tell dealer roughly where from and they will test drive it and hopefully sort it -

Mine is a month old also and no rattles what so ever, think you should book it in at the dealers. I had a rattle in my last car which BMW sorted out for me. -

It's glanz snow foam, bought from shop and shine in Derby. Was recommended by the detailing shop next door. £28 for 5lt so not bad at all. One bottle with about an inch in the bottom did the wife's rapid SB my octavia vrs and my mx5. Goes a long way. https://www.shopnshine.co.uk/glanz-snow-foam-5l I used the lance they sell so is fully adjustable so you can make it thicker or thinner really easily. -
East Midlands Meet - Wednesday 20th April 2016 - Junc 28 M1

Completely forgot about this, I thought it was next Wednesday...what a **** I am lol No idea why I thought it was next Wednesday as I'm working -
Finally got chance to give the wife's a good clean. Steps - rinse then snow foam, clay, snow foam again, polish then seal. Need to get some good wax to put on at some point. Came up nice, only 500 miles old so didn't take long to clay, paint was pretty smooth already. My Octavia estate had a quick snow foam as well, will be giving it the clay treatment next week after getting some wax.

Playing music via bluetooth automatically
mk3vrs replied to CainDingle's topic in Skoda Octavia Mk III (2013 - 2020)
My iPhone carries on playing unless I close the app in between drives. If I get in after closing the app it won't play -
I ordered front and rear not knowing it comes with fronts anyway, the ones you order from super Skoda are bigger than the standard fronts you get so may still replace them.

Same as you, i work 10 miles from home and can see 30 if I'm careful. My long term average over the first 1000 miles is 27mpg

One thing I noticed a while ago and forgot to post, I have a VRS TSI and at any point if you hit the paddles they take over, even in drive. Makes overtaking a lot easier, leave in drive flick down paddle and off you go. -
Nope, I even contacted Skoda direct and they said no.
