  1. Hi, hope you don't mind me asking, but what spark plugs do you use ? A couple of car parts websites say it uses NGK BP6HS plugs, but mine has BP7EFS ones fitted. The 7's are longer & protrude into the cylinder more. The 6's though have a bigger hexagonal nut & are tight against the engine block, so I can't get the spanner around to tighten. I haven't had the car long & am keen to get it right. It does seem to run ok on 7's, so far anyway. Cheers.
  2. Thanks. The 7's are longer, but on the 6's, the hexagonal nut is bigger, & fits so close to the cylinder head, that I can't get the plug spanner around to tighten them. I guess I'll keep on using the 7's, unless something nasty happens. Just wondered what other people use....Cheers.
  3. Thank you.... it looks a really useful site...
  4. Hi. I recently became owner of a 136 Rapid, 1.3, manufactured in 1989. According to a couple of car spares websites, my car should be fitted with NGK BP6HS spark plugs. But when I tried to fit these, the nut is too big & I can't get the plug spanner to fit . The car came with NGK BP7EFS plugs fitted.... are these the right ones to use ? I do have some running issues with the car at the moment & am trying to eliminate various things. It would help a lot knowing which plugs should be fitted. many thanks for any help...
  5. Hi everyone. I have become the owner of a 1989 Skoda 136 Rapid. It has been in the family since purchased new in 1991. It has been garaged for many years, but has recently been recommissioned, when I became the owner. One very basic question.... according to some car parts websites, my car, the 1.3 type, should use NKG BP6HS spark plugs. But, when I tired to fit them, the nut is slightly too big & it's not possible to get the plug spanner round them. The car previously had NGK BP7EFS plugs in it. Which ones would you recommend ? Other than that & some slight running issues, the car is in very great shape. Thanks for any help... Chris
