Short trips are starting arnd 13-14 l/100 but after couple of kilometres it goes down to 10.5l and less. Still, as I said, diesel engines take longer to get to the working temperature thus consume more fuel. Since you have a new car - wait till you hit couple thousand kilometres and you'll see the consumption go down (however on short drives it will never be as low as Skoda declares).

I picked up my vrs 4x4 a week ago. I guess you shouldn't be worried by the consumption in diesel engines on short distance drives. My brand new Octy on 700km journey swallowed 7.5l/100km. However, i did not rev the engine higher than 3000rpm means: no kick downs and no exceeding 160kph on highways.

Ordered my quartz hatch vrs 4x4 2 weeks ago. Cant wait to see it with the challenge pack (on the all black wheels). Maybe someone has a quartz grey on black geminis already - want to see the pics !

Dear glosrich, thank you for this genius idea. Trust me its not easy to find pictures and opinions on quartz octavia sedan with black pack and all black rims. Ive seen just a couple images but most of them were of poor quality - hard to assess.

Hello, In 4 to 6 months I will become a proud owner of a new vrs tdi dsg 4x4 sedan. I had a problem in decpiding on the Color (didnt want any nice but flashy blues/reds/kermits) so Picked the quartz paint with challenge pack (no chromes + black 18' geminis). Now however i am not sure about my choice (dont know how Grey is the Grey - worried abt the hint of green in this color). Have you Ever seen a car in this spec oraz Maybe even driven one:)? The dealer said i can still change it in the next couple of days.
