Hello octavia 2 model 2013 1Z3. Please if any one can help. I have a rear left very high friction noise rear the driver side. New tyres was replaced to new continental and no change in the sound also a new wheel hub new brake disc and pads . No progress i checked the rear dust guard wheel balance and alignment nothing change the sound. If anyone has a suggestion.

better thing you should also get rid of the oil cooler. Skoda changed this design in facelift models by adding an oil sump with fins for air cooling. The oil filter should be mounted directly with engine by changing the oil filter screw to a shorter one as in facelift engine. Then connect the water tubes that was feeding the oil cooler together. Just look at an Octavia facelift engine and you will know how skoda made the modification. The oil cooler is useless.

If the rain sensor is active the wipers will begin moving when street sand hits the front glass or if you hit with your thumb on the front glass.

After replacing the oil cooler you should also replace the temperature thermostat.

Your car is equipped with rain sensor that operates the wipers due to any vibrations hitting the front glass try to check the rain sensor for any faults.

There is a drain hole at the bottom of the door closed to the door joint side if this hole is blocked then you will hear a rattle sound from water accumulations inside the door just clean the drain hole using a screw driver

It seems to be a firmware problem you should install an older firmware to get rid of battery drain. I would advice you also to get rid of the Columbus it is a useless device just buy a DVD player type Ds-611 from audiosources company for 300$+72$ shipping fees. Or you can buy it from icebox on eBay.. You will be so happy by changing to DS-611

You can buy this unit for less from alibaba china buy it directly from eonon company. But the question is are you able to use an android device while driving it is a car DVD player... the ds-820 give you just an OEM style with functions that help you monitor some of your car functions.. I think it is too difficult to use an android apps while driving.

The unit doesn't have any effect with the maxidot screen even the unit date and time should be set separately it will not copy from or to maxidot screen

USB double socket fixed between passenger chair and hand brake console

It is very easy to run the USB cable no need to put it in the glove box just pass an electric wire between the passenger chair floor mats and the hand brake mat till it appears in the DVD place tight it with the end of the USB cable then pull it till it appear in the DVD place.
